Booked into another hotel which turned out to be a nightmare. Found this hotel and managed to book in at very short notice. Staff were really helpful and welcoming. The rooms are comfortable, the situation perfect - a very short walk to all the amenities. Would be very happy to recommend to anyone

This hotel is nice, however I would not say it is 4 star, more like a good 3 star.
We booked a 13 night stay here for the first two weeks of July. When booking, we had the option of a room with a double bed and terrace, or a queen sized bed but no terrace/balcony. We opted for the latter, but during our stay this is a choice we regretted as we had nowhere to chill out or relax at the end of the day. The rooms are a decent size, but a balcony or terrace would have been better than sitting on the bed!
The facilities in the room are basic but adequate. There is a lack of sockets in the room, especially in convenient places such as in front of mirrors. The hair dryer supplied is rubbish - take your own. It's very dated, the power was non existent, and the handle was the hose that the hot air travelled through, causing me to burn my hands.
The bed was two mattresses pushed together but this was not noticeable. I think they are a form of memory foam mattress, however they failed to spring back and we had to flip them a few times as we were waking up with bad backs. The shapes of our bodies on the mattresses was clearly visible!
The room was serviced every day, but we noticed after my husband cut his foot on the
second day and got blood on the bedding, that the bedding was not changed once in our 13 night stay. I find this unacceptable.
A word of warning - put the "Do not disturb" sign on your door, otherwise you will be woken by cleaning staff knocking on your door. If you don't answer because you're asleep, they just let themselves into your room! (This was at 8am!)
The rooms are air conditioned which was great, especially as there was no extra charge for it.
There is a fridge in the room for the mini bar. They do ask that this is not used for food, but we used it for our own bottled water.
We had a couple of evening meals in the hotel. They were very nice and very competitively priced.
The breakfasts are 15 euro each. This is a ridiculous price to pay for breakfast and I would never pay that anywhere. We found a fabulous place for breakfast just two minutes walk from the hotel, and it cost us no more than 3 euro each. Turn left out of the hotel and walk past the congress centre and you will see Croissanterie Du Port. Fresh baked croissant, pain au chocolat, baguettes....absolute heaven! They also serve coffee, tea and fresh juice and there is seating outside so you can enjoy your purchases while they are fresh!
There is a Spar nearby for any essentials such as water.
Drinks are very expensive, not just in the hotel but throughout the resort. A small lager (half pint) was 5.50 euro, a large lager was 11.00 euro - this is around £10! I know the South of France is expensive but that is insanely expensive! We found it better value to have a pitcher of house wine for around 7.50 euro.
The hotel has a gym and sauna but we never used it. The pool is nice. Its not too big and there is plenty of loungers around it. Staff came around during the afternoon and took drink orders so you could enjoy an ice cold beer poolside.
There is a pool table free to use by any hotel residents. This is very worn. There's no chalk for the cues and the table has seen better days. It would be so much better if this was updated.
The hotel is a good 15 minute walk into the centre of St Raphael. This was not too bad, but after walking back a forth for two weeks, I wish we stayed more central.
There's a few restaurants on the marina where the hotel is based. They were ideal if we could not be bothered to walk into the town centre. The food was good, but quite pricey. You get a better deal if you do a set menu. You get quite a few choices but will spend around 15 euro per person for three courses, instead of 25 euro just for a main course.
We got a taxi to the hotel from the train station, this cost us 13 euro. It is only a 5 minute drive from the station.
Overall, the hotel was very nice but I doubt we would stay there again. The service from staff was good and the room was decent, but I would prefer to be a bit closer to the main resort. I certainly do not think it is worth the money we paid for our stay.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 122. It was overlooking the car park on the right hand side as you look at the hotel. I would go for a room with a balcony or terrace.

Madame SMITH,

Picked up a good deal for this hotel via living social. Heard that renovations were happening during the month of March . I was concerned as I had booked a short much needed break for me and my partner. A quick e mail to Sylvia head receptionist alleviated my concerns that the 'works' were over the other side of the hotel and we would not be disturbed. Sylvia also provided comprehensive details of the quickest and cheapest way to get to the hotel from the airport. Clean bright room overlooking marina. All staff very pleasant and tolerant of out minimal French ! English spoken. Breakfast somewhat hit and miss due to large coach party but when requested hot food was cooked to order - great selection. We ate at hotel restaurant both nights food superb and very reasonably priced service excellent . Surrounding restaurants / bistros are plentiful but March is still off peak and many only opened during the day . Sheltered in a lovely cafe in Marina during a freak hail storm bottle of wine and panini did the trick . Town 20 minute stroll . Buses a little sporadic but walking was fine for us . Highly recommended.

We chose this hotel because we wanted a 4 star and the reviews seemed favourable. However, we didn't think it lived up to its 4 star rating. The lobby area has a stale smell, something like a cross between dampness and stale smoke. We were disappointed that the pool was "wintering" even though it was 23 degrees and still October. The room was not large, but reasonable and the bed was comfortable. Unfortunately the air conditioning did not work so we had to sleep with the door to the balcony open which meant being woken by noisy lorries at 5am. A room with a harbour view would have been preferable, both for the view and also to avoid the car park noise. On the plus sided, the wifi was excellent and worked very well throughout our stay. Unlike some other reviewers, we found the trek into town quite long, although on a balmy summer evening I'm sure it would be more pleasant. The local restaurants were quite basic, although we would recommend Les Voiles if you like fish. Although a minor point, it was surprising that the bathroom was not equipped with the usual supplies, only a combined shampoo/shower gel on the wall. There were also insufficient coat hangers in the wardrobe. The Staff were very pleasant and helpful and it is fair to say that we did not complain about any of the above so did not give them the opportunity to respond.

Room Tip: Pay the extra and request a sea view
