Najeti Hotel Valescure
Ranked #12 of 39 Hotels in Saint-Raphael
Reviewed 6 August 2014

We stayed here about 5 years ago after they had just redecorated the hotel. We came to play golf and loved it. So we decided to come back this summer. We have noticed some changes. The hotel belongs to a different chain now ( Najeti) and seems really less quality then it used to be. Although still quite friendly and clean the place could use some serious updates. Balconies look run down with old and crooked awnings , old forgotten flowers etc. The pool is definitely way too cold with about 15/16 degrees ( no heating) even in the middle of June, which is so annoying. 5 Years ago we could use wellness free as much as we wanted. Past history.:Wellness was not open at all and was charged extra. Towels for the pool to be asked for at the desk ( !) in stead of the pool house. The weather was fantastic but the terraces were closed for breakfast , cocktails and dinner. Can you believe that? So we didn't eat breakfast, which used to be a feast years ago. We had breakfast at the bakery very close by. We went out for dinner. Restaurant looked desolate and empty. Lunch at the next door golf is good and quite busy.
We brought our golf gear but were not able to play, not once. They told us the course was full . Every day ! Very disappointing. Last time we had a golf package which was excellent. But apparently they do not offer that anymore , at least not through our usual agents.
One night we had our 1-year old granddaughter staying with us in our room and I must say the hotel provided a nice crib , so that was good and friendly service. At no extra charge.
The hotel is a relaxing and quiet place. Rooms clean , good beds. Good bathroom. But as I said: they have some work to do. To take care of...subtle changes.

Room Tip: Poolside room is sunny. Other side is very quiet.

Took a golfing break in June at this venue. The hotel is very comfortable, the food a delight and, despite my poor French, the service was outstanding.
The golf whilst not being at a very top class venue was interesting and a challenge for the average handicap player.

Room Tip: A view over the golf course is preferable.

Nice for golfers and perfect located. However, the price do not reflec the quality of the hotel. To pricy comare to quality. They will probably do some improvments in a near future. our room had old fashion blankets, dead plants at the balcony, broken sliding door to the bedroom.

We weren't expecting much from the Golf Hotel Valescure, but were pleasantly surprised. It is very conveniently located for both the Golf de l'Esterel and the Valescure courses, both of which we enjoyed playing. Our room was comfortable, the pool is a good size for swimming lengths and there are two good restaurants within easy walking distance for those wanting to venture out in the evening (le Sud and Jardin de Sebastian).

We (my husband and I and two friends) just returned from our third stay at the Hotel du Golf de Valescure. We are all golfers. Since our last visit (2007 I think?) the hotel has been totally re-decorated and a new wing added. We all had rooms in the new wing. My husband and I in a Junior Suite and our friends in a "Deluxe Double". I much preferred their room to ours... the size of the rooms are identical, and the bathrooms each had a shower AND a bath. (Good when you both come off the course at the same time!!) But our room had what I suppose was a third bed in it, and no small table and worse, no lighting in the "sitting" part of the suite. Their room on the other hand had two armchairs, a table or two AND a nice standard lamp in the sitting area. Next time I shall book a Deluxe Double!

We took demi-pension. And absolutely loved the food. The Chef produces imaginative, interesting dishes which are yummy. Every night a different menu, and any special requests were quickly and well attended to. The breakfasts are also excellent. Large buffet including some hot dishes. And for lunch (if we were not on the course) we ate at the Club House which also had good food.

The staff - receptionists, maids, waitresses, Mâître d'Hôtel - were all, universally, charming and efficient.

The two negatives I have are the lack of air conditioning in the room even though the ground floor clearly was air conditioned. We like to sleep in a cold room... and could not. The other is the lighting on the stairs that link the new wind to the old... no lighting at all in fact, which is quite dangerous.

We cannot wait to go back -- and the golf course is great too, BTW!! The Pro Shop staff are charming and they looked after our clubs at no additional cost.

Room Tip: Ask for a standard double IF a view of the golf course is important to you. Otherwise take a Deluxe...

This hotel is a little out of the way and yet close enough to attractions and highways to make it a top destination. After a busy day touring it provides a wonderful setting where to wind down. The pool, tennis courts or golf provide active guests with opportunities to unwind. Rooms are excellent, many with private balconies, and offer all the amenities of very good hotels. Service is tops, whether at the bar or in the dining room.
Breakfast is buffet style and offers a wide variety of food and drink. The dining room displays an interesting and tasteful menu while the wine list is abundant enough to satisfy a match for all food offerings.
The hotel is inside a closed compound and is very secure.
Close to Riviera sites as well as historical centres of Provence, this establishment is one of the best in the area.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the pool are great!
