“It s more fun in St. Tropez”
Reviewed 10 August 2012

The hotel was good and ritzy, but the disco was crowded and included some cheap, low-class people. Those without a platinum credit card should not be allowed in. Such a posh hotel hotel, with nice rooms and pool and above all a good location in downtown St. Tropez. Some gigolos spoil the picture occasionally, but there are still enough real men to rub shoulders with.

This hotel is so appropriate for st tropez because it's so flashy very ritzy but fun we stayed 5 nights and had great fun perfect location friendly staff providing shuttle service to the beach clubs it was my husbands bday and they treated us to breakfast and champagne the room had fresh flowers and the bed was very comfy the b bar made great drinks and breakfast was decent but they are so over priced I suggest eating lunch elsewhere nonetheless very fun atmosphere large pool area but always try to reserve a lounge chair early cause they get swooped up quickly it's nightclub is suppose to be one of the most famous in Europe we went had fun but the drinks were terrible and the dj was playing many dated tunes but we made the best of it anyway end of the story is this is a very pricey hotel but if your going to visit st tropez do I the Byblos way

The hotel is in a great location. Suites are nice but basic bedrooms are disappointing. Short drive to beach clubs.

Room Tip: Do not bother with basic room

Since I have nowhere else to go when Madame wishes to attend the Saturday flea market two steps from the Byblos, we returned (never mind the surprise found a few years ago, we've been back many times since).

Two sides to this hotel: if you like to party, great place to crash since you'll be too blitzed to hear the thumping from the caves du roy. Excellent recovery bkfst before heading to Pampelonne to start it all over again.
OR - Great family resort. WHAT?! -Yessuh, it's great. Bringum kids. They love bkfst buffet, they LOVE the pool. Free shuttle to/from the beaches (Moorea, Niolargue and Jumeaux particularly good choices for families). If you bring a kick scooter/trottinette, kids will happily escort you on late pm shopping rounds as long as you stop at the ice cream parlor in the harbor. Back at the hotel, the only iffy thing is the room service menu, where kids are not served well - YOU HEAR ME BYBLOS??? GET 'EM FED PROPERLY so the parents can party in peace. Anyway, with my 8-yo son, there's only one choice; Byblos. It works and the service is great. Just remember to request a quiet room by the garden instead of one in the thumping zone (close to the disco).

Room Tip: The one-hundreds are quiet, if that matters to you

This was one of the two or three nicest hotels i have ever stayed at. The location, rooms, facilities, and food were all excellent, but what really makes it is the service. Rarely, does one experience service like this. The waiters and concierge actually anticipate your needs rather than waiting for you to ask for something. The only complaint i have is the internet did not work the entire time we were there - for a hotel this expensive, this shouldn't happen (3 night stay).

Higly recommended for a top class holiday. Service is great as well as the rooms (for sure in Cote d azure style so kind of poor and agee) and ambience, stuck at the 70ies. If you are looking for a super modern hotel design, go somewhere else...
