“Funky and tiny”
Reviewed 23 August 2013 via mobile

Although several reviews described the rooms as small or tiny, we were still shocked at how tiny they are. The room has a bed, with a sink, and on one corner there is the shower (with a glass door) and on another corner there is a toilet with a door. The lighting in the room is poor. But the rooms are new and relatively clean. The hotel is very funky and has a special design. It has a very nice and charming bar (the food there is not that great though, but it's nice for a drink). Hotel has parking, which is convenient. Also great location (walking distance from center of town). The staff were very friendly. The concierge helped me book beaches and restaurants in St Tropez weeks before we arrived. When we left the hotel we realized we had forgotten something in the room, they found it and shipped it to us.

I stayed at this boutique hotel during Christmas and thought it was great. I am passionate about fashion, photography and design, I could not choose better than a dip in the 50s.
all the staff, the Director Olivier, were always helpful and made me feel right at home!
We'll be back soon .. I hope in the spring

Only if you have no choice or low budget. The rooms are really tiny but acceptable for the prices of St Tropez. The location is convenient to the center. The front side (Citadel) is noisy. The advantage- They have parking. The staff is very friendly and the service is good.

Room Tip: Seaside rooms are quiter

I stayed at the Ermitage hotel just for the weekend of Bastille Day, and it was really nice.
The hotel is situated very central, just a 5minute walk to Place des Lices and right next to the Byblos Hotel. Though its central location, you still feel the presence of nature with the great view on the terrace, and we had silence throughout the nights.
Rooms were small but very artistic, in the same genre as the rest of the hotel, each room has a different setting. They were clean and everything was provided, though it was a pity our tv and the free wifi did not work, maybe these were the only flaws.
Breakfast was small but well served, with freshly made fruit juice and fresh fruits. Also a plus is that you have the possibility to have breakfast from 7.30am till 13pm(!) , ideal for those who sleep out late!
Personnel was very friendly and my special thanks go out to Romain, the concierge, who was always busy and prepared to make our restaurant and taxi reservations immediately, with some extra informations too.
It's a small hotel but ideal for those who like the laidback and excentric lifestyle.
I'm going back in August, that's for sure!

In town for a wedding in late September so beginning of off-season.
Hotel was very empty; we likely were the only guests for Sunday night and saw another couple staying Friday / Saturday night.
First issue: downstairs of the hotel (near staircase) smelled badly of urine throughout the entire time. Not sure what went wrong there.
Second issue: coming home at 130am from the wedding we found ourselves locked out (they demanded our room key from us when we left) and the night staff asleep in a room somewhere downstairs. Had to make a lot of noise for a while to be let in.
Third issue: Left a personal item behind that I asked to have sent to me. First response I get is sure, but we will have to charge you says the manager. Odd, but ok. I have by now sent them over 8 emails and left over 2 voice mails. None of them returned. They are literally holding my personal item hostage and don't respond.

I will never recommend this place, nor will I ever stay there again. Worst hotel experience ever and a time-intensive nightmare just trying to get my hat back that would cost them 5 euros to send. Terrible.

Room Tip: Other reviews say this hotel is loud because of the bar - we were the only guests but asked to switc...

It is the worst hotel i ever been to, it doesn't have even a telephone in the room, no space even to change clothes and u can't see anything because there is no light, the service form the staff is terrible , they don't care because you already paid in advance, they charged me like a 5 star hotel for being in a trash hole, from the outside is a very good looking photo but thats the only thing you can't be standing in the room without getting dizzy and blocking the way so anything can pass, there is no space even to put the luggage or bags, when i stayed the light bulbs on my floor didn't turn on , the a/c didn't work. and they wanted to discount me 30 euros a night for that, the bathroom without even a curtain. and they stop making the rooms at 1:00 pm

Room Tip: never ever go to these hotel you will regret the rest of your life.

Though a renovated building, it had no sound-proofing, allowing to hear your neighbours and of course all the music from the bar at the hotel's ground floor. The manager was realy rude when asked to turn low the music at 02.30 am and informed us that we could leave the hotel if we could not sleep!
