The rooms are ok, with A/C, nice bathroom/showe, wifi (poor signal strenght and slow) and a very comfortable bed.

The service is poor. They dont offer lunch/dinner and breakfast is poor with few options.

I recommend this hotel for no more than 2 days. Rent a car with GPS because is far for almost everything.

There was a lot good about this place but something about it did not quite work. I feel a bit rotten saying that as they were so friendly and breakfast was excellent and there was a nice pool. If the sun had shone it would have been much better I am sure. We ate in Valbonne which we loved. A great little town.

An attractive hotel in an excellent location. No fuss on check-in, not even a request to see passports. Pleasant rooms with a nice pool and garden which is spoilt by an excess of garden and poolside furniture making the whole pool area look congested. Walls and floors are a little thin but most guests retire early so this didn't present a problem.

Valbonne and Mougins are very attractive villages with good restaurants, Mougins in particular (the old village has a road of excellent restaurants and art galleries in an extremely pleasant environment). Picasso spent his final years here and died in Mougins. (nothing to do with the food!)

Room Tip: All rooms have a patio or terrace. In hindsight the upstairs rooms (two floors only) may be better...

very hard to find , one or two more sighn were very helpful. Nicely placed hotel, but you need a car if want to go downtown. Stuff quite helpless when trying to get WLAN. We couldn't get two rooms side by side, although we had booked early enough in advance. Berakfast was quite poor for the price and the service as well. Very beautiful rooms, but hty should really work on teh service.

Room Tip: Try to get the room with the "Himmelbett"

Overall we really enjoyed our stay at Bastide de Valbonne. The property is really lovely and relaxing. Some of the front desk staff were more knowledgable than others. We experienced some quirks. The room was entirely too small for 2 adults and 2 kids, though they did warn us it would be tight. The pool was beautiful, and we were on the first floor walk out to the pool. There were tables set all around for people to take drinks and breakfast, less than 8 feet from our glass French doors. A bit awkward to have strangers sitting with their morning coffee steps away, or poolside smokers relaxing over beer in front of your room. This would result in our having to close the metal rolling shutters, eliminating all natural light. I think it would be perfect for two on the second floor, and despite the quirks we would have stayed longer if possible. Valbonne turned out to be a terrific village, with the best market anywhere, and extremely nice people all around, including the hotel staff. It seems they just opened another property adjacent to the Bastide, and it also looks really nice and I'm told the rooms are larger with some family efficiencies available.

Sanctuary away from the coast but easy into Valbonne. This is one of those wonderfully well done simple places that has absolutely the right touch to make you feel most welcome in a cosy Bastide way. Staff are excellent and whilst only breakfast and light snacks are served the nearby hillside towns more than cater to your needs. The upstairs pool facing rooms would be our choice upon our inevitable return. A gem, change nothing.

Room Tip: Upstairs pool facing would be my choice upon return.
