Nice hotel, just refurbished from and old French country home, small pool, very close to the city centre of Valbonne.

Nice for couples or people looking for a quite place, also for business if you need a plce in the area. Ample parking spaces.
Only problem I had was finding it! there is no sign, well one on the mailbox very small, taxis will know about it if driving use GPS, its just of the main road, carefukl not to miss otherwise its a long one way system.

Room Tip: away from reception as it can be noisy on the floortiles

A serene, well maintained place, sitting outside the Valbonne village it has some elegant rooms with nice comfortable beds with porches opening out to the pool (RM # 112). The breakfast contains some amazing fresh breads and cheese. The people are really nice, close to Cannes and Grasse. Only thing missing is that they don't have a restaurant and you have to have your meals out or call for pizzas.

La Bastide is a charming little hotel sitting just outside the Village of Valbonne, France. It's a good mile and half walk down and up hills but just about five minutes from the village by car. It's a great place to stay if you have business in Valbonne, Mougins, Nice or Sophia Antipolis.
Rooms are charming but simple and are decorated in soft blues and yellows. Some rooms have balconies and French doors. The French doors are very new and automatic shutters close at night for privacy. The are so easy to use with just a push of a button.
Limited toiletries are included.
Tub shower combination is a bit hard to use and step into in my particular room. Toilet in same area is hard to use as well because wall and door are in the way. Counter space is also limited and mirror is far away for makeup application. Makes it difficult to get ready for anyone applying makeup. Gardens are a bit crowded and need work. Clearly there isn't a grounds keeper.
Breakfast is offered so check to see if it's in your room rate. Worth getting as there are few restaurants in area to get breakfast. It is simple tea, coffee, pastry, yogurt, fruit, cereal, toast and salami.
There are many places to sit throughout hotel to relax and read or work on computer too.

Room Tip: Second floor is definitely good. Having a balcony is really nice too. Rooms not facing pool are ju...

The rooms are ok, with A/C, nice bathroom/showe, wifi (poor signal strenght and slow) and a very comfortable bed.

The service is poor. They dont offer lunch/dinner and breakfast is poor with few options.

I recommend this hotel for no more than 2 days. Rent a car with GPS because is far for almost everything.

There was a lot good about this place but something about it did not quite work. I feel a bit rotten saying that as they were so friendly and breakfast was excellent and there was a nice pool. If the sun had shone it would have been much better I am sure. We ate in Valbonne which we loved. A great little town.

An attractive hotel in an excellent location. No fuss on check-in, not even a request to see passports. Pleasant rooms with a nice pool and garden which is spoilt by an excess of garden and poolside furniture making the whole pool area look congested. Walls and floors are a little thin but most guests retire early so this didn't present a problem.

Valbonne and Mougins are very attractive villages with good restaurants, Mougins in particular (the old village has a road of excellent restaurants and art galleries in an extremely pleasant environment). Picasso spent his final years here and died in Mougins. (nothing to do with the food!)

Room Tip: All rooms have a patio or terrace. In hindsight the upstairs rooms (two floors only) may be better...

very hard to find , one or two more sighn were very helpful. Nicely placed hotel, but you need a car if want to go downtown. Stuff quite helpless when trying to get WLAN. We couldn't get two rooms side by side, although we had booked early enough in advance. Berakfast was quite poor for the price and the service as well. Very beautiful rooms, but hty should really work on teh service.

Room Tip: Try to get the room with the "Himmelbett"
