This is a small hotel with quiet rooms and very comfy beds. Excellent value breakfast, free wi-fi internet and good car parking in the nearby underground car park which the hotel gets you a discount on. The best part though is the friendliness of Nathalie and Pierre who own the hotel and did everything to make our stay as pleasant as possible.

Definitely recommend a stay here if you want to be close to the old Town of Vence (which is gorgeous). Also a short walk to Matisee's chapel and buses to get to St Paul de Vence and the coast. The hosts were so welcoming. I arrived several hours before check-in but that was no problem at all. Rooms are basic but clean.

Vence is a definite must on a trip to Provence. It makes a great base to explore the area but be away from the busy coast.

We regularly visit Vence and whenever we do we always stay in this hotel. We have been staying here since the mid 1990's and it just gets better.
Natalie and Pierre are as described in the reviews such as "The owners of La Victoire, Natalie and her husband, Pierre, could not have been more welcoming or accomodating. I would go out of my way to stay there again!"
The restaurant / bar is located very conveniently below. We always have "petit dejeuner" and often have a coffee or something stronger or other meals there. Several other restaurants are just a couple of minutes walk away so you are spoiled for choice

The Victoire is a charming small hotel facing the main square in Vence. The owners could not be nicer and more helpful. They speak good English and have an obvious enjoyment in running their hotel. Our room was kept immaculately clean. When we left various things behind they went to considerable trouble on our behalf, all with effeciency and good humour. If you like being in the middle of French town life, this is a perfect place to stay.

My husband and I just spent 6 nights at La Victoire in Vence. The hotel is in a great location in Vence. Right near the old downtown building with restaurants and shops. The hotel room is basic but the service was great. Natalie and her husband were very accomadating and always there to assist us. She gave us advice on what cities to explore. We felt like we were staying at a friends house in vence.

The hotel is in a great location for exploring the surrounding countryside. And Vence is definitely a great site itself. However, it made it a little difficult to travel to places along the coast as you had to drive a little distance to get home every night. We relied on the bus the first few days because we were unable to rent a car. But once we got our rental car it was a lot easier to get around. It was nice coming home to Vence after a long day of exploring other cities.

Also the restaurant downstairs was great. Our waiter Pasqual was great. Overall, this hotel is perfect if you are on a budget and want to be away from all the hustle and bustle of Nice and larger cities.

Stayed here for one night this weekend just gone with my girlfriend as a french friend of mine was celebrating his wedding in Vence. The hotel is perfect for a short stay. The rooms are comfortable and clean and the location is excellent - right on the Place du Jardin which is the main square in Vence with it's terrace cafes, bars and restaurants. The couple who own it were very accommodating and went to great effort to make sure our stay was a pleasant one. They phoned round everywhere and everyone to make sure we got a taxi to the wedding party which was slightly out of town as it seems that Taxis are hard to come by on a Saturday night in the sleepy town of Vence. Would recommend this hotel to anyone who wanted to explore this beautiful town and the surrounding countryside.
