“Fantastic”
Reviewed 17 August 2017 for a stay in September 2016

We loved the condo. We found it to be the perfect location for access to the beach and the train. From our ride, arranged by Pat, to the condo provided by Julien, the 10 days we stayed, and our arranged ride back to Nice, it couldn't have been better. Of our 3 week adventure to Europe (from the US), it was by far our favorite experience. The condo was nicely furnished, the balcony was awesome and it was everything we hoped for and read about. Villefranche-sur-Mer is a lovely spot and some day we would love to return.

Spent a long weekend here with friends - perfect location - walked, bussed, trained to all the fantastic places around Villefranche, and then sat on the balcony, watching the world go by, before strolling into town for dinner.
Apartment was beautifully presented and had everything we could ever have needed ... and more! Spotlessly clean and beautifully furnished.

“My favourite place in the world”

I have no idea who the whinging Australian was but this apartment is a little piece of heaven. From the minute you walk through the door and see that spectacular view of the bay to when you notice the gorgeous toiletries in the shower rooms, the glossy kitchen equipped with everything you could ever imagine needing and the fabulous art work adorning the walls you know you are somewhere very special! You are near the station which is very convenient for travelling to Nice, Monaco, Ventimiglia or Beaulieu where the have fantastic food market! Sitting on the balcony with a bottle of rose, a fresh baguette and some cheese at sunset is pure bliss!!!

“Stunning.”
Reviewed 15 September 2016 for a stay in September 2016

When George opened the front door of the apartment we were taken aback by the view of Villefranche bay, it really is something to behold! When you take yourself away from the balcony, you will find that this beautiful apartment has everything, tastefully decorated and kitted out with everything you could possibly need, topped off with a very thoughtful welcome pack from perfect hosts. Thank you George and Pat for a wonderful stay!

“Don't stay here.”

I really am gobsmacked by the reviews of this so called "WOW" place. Don't be deceived by the pictures. The picture looking out front balcony is taken well inside the apartment. When you are on the balcony the beautiful view is spoilt by a large rusty shed to the left an delapidated building to the right,a maze of electric cables at eye level and railway rubbish on the ground between the two buildings, not what you call an ambient scene which is a real shame as Villefranche is a beautiful place. And the other pictures are certainly not you get in person. On arrival the fridge had pieces of old lettuce leaves in the draw and it smelt, you had to wear shoes as the floors were filthy, the main shower had like wooden slats on the floor which were mildewy and slimmey.,they preferred us not to use main toilet as it was a bit dodgy and to use the other one.The whole apartment was dirty and generally not well kept. This place is certainly not worth the money. We only stayed the first night and requested the balance we paid on arrival to be refunded which the managers had no hesitation in doing immediately. On departure they said they would discuss the deposit we had paid and upon arrival home i have emailed them 5 times for a refund with no response. This place totally spoilt the rest of our holiday .

“wonderful view lovely apartment”
Reviewed 11 May 2016 for a stay in April 2016

I stayed in this apartment with two other friends for 5 nights. We were lucky the weather was warm. There is a stunning view from the balcony which is roomy with table and chairs. The two large sofas were very comfortable and the kitchen well fitted. There were two double bedrooms the back one with a small ensuite and the front (larger) one had the bathroom just outside it. There was a bit of an issue with the toilet in this one which we did address with the people looking after it, it was that it had a sani flush system which constantly made a noise and one time even forced water up through the sink. The water pressure in the shower was very good and hot. The beds were comfortable and so were the pillows (very important I think)
Immediately below the apartment block is the train station from which you do get some noise, a bit like the underground in London. We intended to use the trains but whilst we were there they were on strike and only ran every few hours so we got the bus. You have to walk quite a way to the bus. When we went to Nice on the last day the trains were running but the buses were on strike!! The bus service and the trains were very reasonable and comfortable.
Ville France is a lovely little village its on the right hand side of the bay as you look towards the sea, the apartments are in the middle of the bay and Cap Ferrat is the left hand side. Ville France is built on a steep hill and really not at all suitable for anyone infirm or has difficulty in walking as there are endless steps. I felt quite fit when we returned to the UK! There are a lot of restaurants in the village the food is quite pricey but we had some lovely meals. There are only two small supermarkets in the village but enough for us and Pat very kindly got some shopping that we asked for and it ready for us when we arrived, thanks a lot for that Pat. The transfers from Nice airport were 55euros each way a little steep and you could easily have got the train almost straight to the apartment.
One day we went to Monaco the bus was only about 3 euros and stopped outside the Casino. we explored the town (they were setting up for the Grand Prix) and saw some of the amazing yachts in the harbour. We also went to Nice which I did enjoy. Also one day we walked to Baroness Rothchilds House and Gardens, it cost 13 euros entance fee but was worth it, You are given an audio tape to walk around with which made it more interesting and informative.
The beach is just below the train station and is a fine pebble ok to sit on, we saw very few tourists whilst we were there mostly local people which was good.
In the apartment there were thoughtfully left, books dvds a shopping trolly (very usefull considering how far you have to walk) and a beach umbrella.
I would thoroughly recommend this apartment but you have to like walking and steps!
