“Good Service and Food choices”
Reviewed 25 September 2011

We had two evening meals here in the dining room .... it being too cool to eat out on the attractive walled patio.
We particularly enjoyed the starters on both occasions and the duck taken on the first visit. The fillet of beef was acceptable but not of the top quality one would expect from British bred beef cattle. On the second night we both had Cotes de Boeuf, a cut that can be rather hit or miss and one which we felt was too rustic and fatty.
The wine list was, as normal, predominantly local and had some excellent offerings which we sampled on both nights.
The service was very good throughout, attentive without being overbearing.

“Lovely food, good wine - lousy service”
Reviewed 19 July 2011

Cosy restaurant with patio. Interesting food that tastes really good. But not cheap. Nice wine list with option to buy wine to take home. But the service was poor. The waiter seemed arrogant and he managed to create a slightly bad mood throughout the restaurant. So although we lived very near the spot - so we chose not to eat there anymore.

“Wonderful dinner”

We went to Le Clos du Patre for a birthday celebratory meal on the recommendation of friends and were very happy with the experience. A beautiful dinner and superbly presented. Great wine list added to the experience.

“So Organic You Could Scream”
Reviewed 24 July 2009

Everything is grown within 5 meters of the restaurant. No kidding! All very tasty, represents the local, organic nature of the local food, towards the high end. Pretty setting. Competent, informed and aloof staff - just what you'd want in a place like this! Actually they were pretty friendly. Recommended by the proprietress at:

If you're a biker, great thing to do after climbing Ventoux. Smiley face.
