Super nice location just a few minutes away from Gordes. Restaurant has been refurbished and is now more modern which we loved. We had been before as a couple when it was still in provencal style. The service was very warm, especially also to the kids. We were a group of 10 adults and 5 kids and they made us feel very welcome. And the best of all was the food ! Every course was an experience and the desserts were special creations! We will come back! HIgh standard restaurant to recommend !!

The people I was traveling with from the US remarked to me that the welcome was much colder than anywhere else we received on our road trip through south of France and that the man seemed arrogant. Having lived in Paris for 19 years, I hadn’t even noticed. My initial reaction was that perhaps he was a transplant from Paris who got tired of the stress of a big city (who could blame him) and decided to switch careers and run an auberge in Provence. I have no idea if that is really the case or not.

I was surprised at how lovely this property was, set at the foot of Gordes. The interior is beautifully and tastefully decorated. The rooms and bathrooms are very nice, modern and stylish. Our room had a patio to the interior garden area, with access to the nice pool area (not quite warm enough to swim yet unfortunately). It was great to be on a ground floor for once and not deal with carrying heavy luggage up flights of stairs since so many places do not have elevators. The parking is secure and gated at night.

We had dinner in the restaurant. Service was slow, but when you are in Provence why hurry, just enjoy the moment! The atmosphere in the dining area is chic and elegant and we had a big round table for three of us. I ordered a beef dish cooked to absolute tender perfection, tiny roasted potatoes cooked in duck fat and with sea salt and herbes de Provence, several types of mushrooms and artichokes, all in an amazingly delicious sauce. This was THE best meal of my entire trip. Everything was beautifully presented and my fellow travelers enjoyed their meals as well.

Great value for money in this area, one of the nicest places (of the Logis de France) we stayed on our road trip. I would really love to return here someday and stay several days. I’d cross the country just for the meal alone.

The house and the rooms are in perfect Provence style, so nothing to say about the building structure. The problem of this hotel is the manager's attitude: not warm, too turistic, you don't feel home. Also in our experience we has garden sprinkler started at 3 am, just spreading water againt our window. Terrible experience, we told to the manager, that i didn't do nothing to excuse. Bad service. Probably they don't need to be friendly with a so nice property.

Stayed one week Oct 12. Room satisfactory and comfortable.

Had breakfast once, very poor choice and quality for price. There are much better alternatives in Gordes or even better La Vie en Rose about ten mins away. Had one evening meal, no English menu which was very poor. Every restaurant we visited in Gordes supplied one.

We left feeling the location was great, room fine but that the staff really didn't care.

Wouldn't return.

This is an excellent hotel with great food. We have stayed here before. Although on the expensive side it is exceptional. Great location, great layout, very good food. The rooms are really good in that they all seem to have a balcony or patio. Those with patios are good for just being able to walk out to the pool.
On the downside, the wi-fi drops out all the time and TV signal was flaky too. Service for dinner is often Very slow. I am used to leisurely meals in France but this is slower than most.
The hotel is set in a lovely area.
Using the Logis scoring system, i'd say it No longer warrants the 3rd pan for cuisine, but it is worth 3 chimneys for the hotel.

Room Tip: I think they are all good and as far as I know, they all have air-con

What a delightful discovery. Set outside the busyness of Gordes is this enchanting auberge. From the moment we arrived until we left the service food and facilities were all faultless. Of course, the relentless hot sunshine helped and made the pool an added benefit as did eating all our meals outside to the accompaniment of cicadas. We left with a deep sense of regret that we had not planned to stay longer but with an absolute determination to return.

After many months of emails with the Manager, we finally arrived after a long flight from California..our GPS had no problem finding the Auberge of Carcarille, located at the foot of Gordes, one of the most famous and beautiful Village in Provence - We had notified the Auberge of our late arrival, and they had kindly reserved our Table..what a pleasant surprise it was ..we had signed up for " demi-pension( breakfast and dinner), and let me tell you it was THE BEST idea ..you could go and wonder all day..in the beautiful region.. come back, take a swim, shower and have not to worry or search for a restaurant for dinner..and enjoy the region ROSE wine and not have to drive !!!Truly the most relaxing idea..and the FOOD: absolutely a Delight !! and that is the BEST kept secret of the Auberge de Carcarille- We pent 3 nights there, and every night the dishes were magnificent as well as the presentation..Under Euro 200 for 2 for room and demi pension is hard to find in this region..The rooms were nice and spacious..ours had a nice little patio with view of Gordes..so we shall be back, and I hopethat You too, will consider staying there during your Journey in Provence-

Room Tip: I would suggest you book the "Prestige" room..more spacious and with a nice view..
