First things first: The food was excellent; pricey... but excellent. We had the menu called "Fanny" (95 eur. the whole table must have the same menu though!): 4 fish dishes (starter + 3 mains) and 3 desserts, all very creative and served in right proportions. The service was very (very!) snobbish, if not comtemptuous, to only reach new heights of toadying with regulars.

Aaaah, the regulars! Definitely the biggest nuisance in the restaurant. We had to suffer, chaotically: vacations in St. Barts (sooo intimate, unlike St. Trop: sooo common now) or Miami (Florida, the laid-back US!); complaints about lack of proper parking places for their $$$-car along the shore (damn municipality) or everyone not willing to work on Sundays (damn workers, damn government); warning (from the women!) against young chicks who will stab you in the back and steal half your money; and, cerise sur le gâteau, "explanations" as to why muslims lie so easily (they have many values, but honesty is not part of their education...)

I still wonder how we managed not to throw up the excellent dinner!

It started off as an unpleasant experience as one of our friends was robbed of her purse while waiting at the front desk. It was quiet in the restaurant and two person came on a motorcycle and had the audacity to walk into the restaurant, ripped out the handbag from her neck and escaped. The restaurant staff gave chase but there was no contest against a motorcycle.

This restaurant is very good but it is very quiet so watch out for thieves. The manager assured us this had not happened while he was there for the last nine years, but beware.

The food and especially the boullabaise was terrific. Many many surprises .

herded around by our well-meaning friends to try authentic bouillabaisse, we were aptly relieved by the meal here. superb all round and no, we didn't have the classic fish soup. don't force yourself to have it just because everyone else does.

trust me, you'll have just as good or quite likely an even better meal if you gave the other dishes a try. we had a myriad of other seafood dishes including the monkfish, lobster and tuna. they were PERFECT. our friend had a lamb shoulder and he gave it a thumbs up too! exquisite views to boot!

The food was fantastic, however we were a little disappointed with the snooty and inattentive service. The Bouillabaisse was amazing, huge and delicious!! The sunset view was stunning and we were entertained by the locals playfully diving into the sea from the rocks. Overall very good, but the prices limit it to special occasions.

Having seen Rick Stein ( a UK TV chef) eat Bouillabaisse at this restaurant I was determined to eat there whilst in Marseille. I am pleased to report that I was not disappointed. The concierge at our hotel kindly booked our table and suggested that we dine at lunchtime when the sea was at its best. Before talking about the staff and food its worth mentioning that the location is superb with great views from all tables over an azure blue sea.

The staff are all immaculately dressed and provide the highest quality service . Dining and wine suggestions were given MaItre'D and Sommelier and we were not disappointed. If you like local dishes the Bouillabaisse is to be tried along with every fresh and extremely well presented dish. A tip if you are not a wine connoisseur let the sommelier assist you his choices were fantastic and complimented the food perfectly.

if you are in Marseille and like good seafood, service and a great (romantic) location don't miss this experience
