As l was only staying in Marseilles for the night l decided to treat myself and forked out a bit more than usual for this hotel. I was given a room on the top floor and l felt l was staying in a penthouse. The colour sceme was a little eclectic for my taste (a bit too much bright yellow for me) but my room was huge, my bed was huge, my bath was huge, even my Sony TV was huge (it must have been a 50 inche screen at least). I also had a private balcony with the perfect view of the port below and Notre Dame de la Garde. It was a shame l wasn't staying there for a few more nights to enjoy it all.
The breakfast buffet was fine but nothing amazing, just the usual continental choices, although there was a hot chocolate maker which was novel.
Clean and cheerful, perfect location, perfect view.

We spent two nights in this hotel last october. Nice service. Incredible area in Marseille. Very close to main restaurants and just few steps to bus tour around the city. If you are going for tourism do not hesitate stay here. The room is confortable, clean and has a modern decoration. Excelent bathroom and very good breakfast with lot of preserves, croissant, cereals, fruits, cheeses... I would definetely stay here again!!

Room Tip: Do not stay in the same level of breakfast room! Ask for up level!

Spent two nights in this hotel overlooking the vieux port. I had booked the "suite ciel", a suite on the top floor with a balcony. The view of the Vieux Port, and Notre Dame de la Garde cathedral is absolutely wonderful. The room itself perhaps did not meet the level of comfort I expected for the price. Overall, I would certainly recommend the hotel, and the restaurant as well, and would go back.

I stayed at this hotel for two nights with two teenaged granddaughters and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Their reaction when entering our room was, "AWESOME!" The view was absolutely amazing...especially at night! The girls stayed in the main room and I had a separate bedroom with a twin bed. I highly recommend this hotel when traveling to Marceille.

Excellent location, just about all rooms are right on the water facing the notre dame on the hill, walking distance to everything worth visiting, including the excellent MUCEM, service was pleasant. Rooms were starting to look tired but good value.

I know others have commented on the location of this hotel but it truly is perfect. Ideal for walking to most of the major sights, it is also just a few steps from the metro (2 stops to Gare St Charles), near lots of bus routes and couldn't be closer to the boats to the islands. Our club room on the 7th floor had wonderful views of the port and Notre Dame de la Garde and, as the hotel is on the south side of the port, you get the sun all day on the balcony which is lovely. The black-out curtains make for a good sleep at night and we found the room extremely quiet. Our room was not luxurious and we had a few issues (we found it difficult to control the temperature, for example) but we also noted that the lighting was perfect for reading - so unusual in many hotels around the world. We didn't particularly like the 50's decor and the rather basic furnishings but that's a matter of taste. Some reviewers have commented on the high cost of breakfast (18 eu). It's true that a continental breakfast at a local café costs only 8 eu but that's not comparing like with like. The buffet was splendid - cereals, juices, meats, cheeses, smoked salmon, bacon, eggs, sausages, patisserie etc etc. It was served in a very pleasant breakfast room and we thought it a really nice start to the day.
While in our view some aspects of the service perhaps made this more a 3 star than a 4 star, we would nonetheless stay here again if we returned to Marseille.

Room Tip: Rooms on the higher floors have better views
