When you stay at a 5 star hotel, you expect a certain level of quality, service and amenities, otherwise it wouldn’t have the rating. What makes the difference is the quality of the staff.
I have spent 25 yrs travelling the world on business, and stayed in many hotels. The staff at this hotel were at a level higher than any other place; from the Waiters, through to the Front door staff and a special mention to the Lady Concierge, Djamila, obviously someone who loves her job, extremely professional and friendly.
We also loved the interior design, nice to be in a place that is not just a run of the mill, it has some unusual sculptures, and beautiful flower arrangements. The rooms are on the small side, (well it must be said we booked the cheapest ones!), but very comfortable. The only criticism is the lack of a towel rack, so no-where to hang up wet towels.
We only had breakfast there, but the Buffet was one of the best, and alien as it may have been to the French staff, they even made porridge on request.
The GM should be proud.
