Description: Located on the pedestrian Boulevard Longchamp, you will find the Longchamp Palace, an Art-Deco bar untouched since the 1930’s.Once a cinema artists den in the 1950’s, Pagnol and Raimu were allegedly spotted having a "pastis" ( local anise-flavoured liqueur and aperitif) in this bar. With its stained-glass windows, sculpted ceilings, zinc bar, listed fresco and its monthly exhibitions, the Longchamp Palace is both an Art-Deco emblem and a friendly place for local businessmen and artists alike. At the bar, the famous “pastis” and the tasty local wines are not to be missed and can be enjoyed cheaply during the “ Palace Happy Hours” from 5 to 8pm.On the food front, the chef offers a list of tasty seasonal dishes which are all homemade with market ingredients. From 7pm onwards, have a go at the selection of cheese and cured meats. From 11am to 4pm on Sundays, a brunch of sweet and savoury dishes is served while old vinyl records of your choice are being played on the phonograph. The Longchamp Palace is open all year round and you can either enjoy your meal inside, next to the fireplace, or outside in the patio according to the season.

We went to this bar to have dinner and drinks. We had nice drinks (beer and cocktails). The food was very good and for a very reasonable price (pork with olive and risotto). Althouigh we were tourists and our French was not that good, we talked to quite a few people from Marseille. Very nice place!

A local friend brought me here and we had a really fun evening in this small, lively, no-frills bar. The drinks are very fairly priced, the cocktails are delicious and generous. The bar ambiance suggests that all Marseille's (genuine) arty types come here and the decor is quirky. The staff are very good looking in a quirky way. Great bar and stays open late.

One of the places in Marseille open until 02:00.
On my long walk to Cabaret Aleatoire, this was the bar boht for warming up and for late drink.
It's a busy bar, so you can see people drinking outside at late hours...

Very cheap beer during happy hpurs, friendly bartender who is even friendlier when he realizes that you are a foreigner. Cute located on the corner of Boulevard National and silent Blvd Longchamp (that looks like pedestrian zone).

Customers are young locals, but not too young (like old school Marseille-youth so to speak).
Ideal for a chat over drink. Perhaps one of few places from nineties that survived.

Four adults, two toddlers, pouring rain and - oh no - the natural history museum is closed. Thank god we stumbled across the Longchamp Palace. Brunch buffet in full swing, cafe absolutely packed but we got a table. Adults drank coffee, delicious mountains of food, kids ate in fistfuls. Hip, friendly atmosphere. Bill reasonable considering we lingered for hours, sheltering from the rain. Highly recommended.
