Centrally located in Marseille and quite cheap but not the nicest hotel I've ever stayed in. My stay was brief (just one short night) but my impression is that the hotel is a little shabby: in need of redecoration and a good clean. Breakfast is rather basic.

I stayed here for one night and I have to admit that there was nothing at all special about this hotel. The room was shabby and the bathroom small and dark. Yet, nonetheless, it was fine for a quick one night stop over - the breakfast was good and the hotel offered a central location. Anyone wanting more than this, however, would be well-advised to stay away from this rather shabby hotel.

We, 2 Adults 2 children, stayed here one night. The so called "superior room" was anything but. The toilet did not flush (cistern switched off as it overflowed otherwise!), the bath water is plumbed backwards (hot is cold, cold is hot) but no-one told us. The blankets had stuff encrusted on them - god knows what. The floor tiles were cracked with dirt trapped and engrained. The bathroom tiles are bulging off the walls. There is no lift from ground floor and a tiny antique lift from first floor. How can others have described this hotel as excellent?! The other guests were noisy but that is not hotels fault - if you are a party animal who does not mind all this and wants to blast their music on returning at 1am then this may, just, be the place for you! ps Hotel is not as pretty as it looks - its set in a whole shack of other buildings - area is a dive. We politely told staff of our experience and she just smiled and said "oh dear" - clearly just employees who are powerless to take any action. I hope this review helps others as I booked my stay based on other reviews I had read.

the hotel is suberbly located 11 minutes walk from the train station and within close vicinity of the vieux port and with easy access to metro for other places to visit. The location is lively without being threatening. There was no problem with noise in our room which was located at the back of the hotel. The room was tidy and clean and all the key facilities were functioning. the room size was fine and only real criticism would be lack of shelves in wardrobe for clothing and choice of tv stations (6 french terestrials). the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our 4 night stay. we thought the breakfast appeared expensive so didn't partake but it was easy to get bread etc from streets around the hotel.

This hotel is terrific. Other reviews complain about the elevator being tiny and the annoyance of reception being located on the first floor. This was not a big deal. Yes, it is tiny, and so small you might just put your luggage in it and send it up while you take the stairs. Big deal. The hotel is charming, the reception staff is excellent and will cater to your needs as much as they can. The rooms are nicely furnished and perfectly comfortable in every way, and it is conveniently located right near the metro. It was cheaper to book directly with the hotel than on any search engines. You do leave you key in the lobby when you leave the hotel, but this is fine. Other hotels have the same policy. There is wifi, and a computer located in the lobby free of charge. We had a great stay here.

Pleasantly surprised for this 2 stars hotel. The room is spacious with LCD TV, high ceiling windows, a little balcony (big enough for 2 chairs and a coffee table) and new refurbished bathroom. Very friendly and helpful staff, great location and good value. My only complaint is that the pillow is a little bit too thin and the fire alarm went off falsely in the middle of the night and woke everyone up - but I guess it does not happen every night, I was just unlucky and can't really blame the hotel for it.

We spent a couple of nights there last summer and we had a beautiful double room facing the square, with high windows. We loved the taste of the furniture and the breakfast room, all very cosy and clean. This 2 star hotel is great value for money only 5 minutes walk from the Vieux Port and 2 minutes from the Canebiere. Highly recommended, we will stay there again if we go back to Marseille.
