Sugiton is one of several calanques you can visit by boat and we went with the Croisieres Marseille Calanques company from the right hand side of the Old Port if you face out to sea. Beautiful icy, turquoise water (coming from a spring in the mountain) through which you can see to the bottom of the sea and a small pebble beach surrounded by the famous white calanque cliffs. Remember to take a hat and some sun-screen lotion as the wind on the boat masks a deceptively hot sun.

It is not easy to get to this place but it is so worthy. The view left me speechless. The water is really cold but after one swims for a while one forgets all about that.
Great place that would love to visit again.

I am hesitant to write a review because I like the fact that (at least in March) these gorgeous grottoes seemed mostly undiscovered. But we were able to take a city bus there, and have a nice hike in through dry hills and wild rosemary down to the extra-blue Mediterranean. Gorgeous! But probably more crowded in the summer I bet.

Beautiful sight, but an approximate 3km walk/hike is what it takes to get there. Bring sufficient water, appropriate shoes and an energetic self. Number 21 Luminy bus will get you to the track.

Ok
If you are short in time or energy. There is a good way to start from the sea and then go up do some hiking

Take the bus number 19 from Castellane station ( which is 2 metro 1 stops from the port station).
You will land im an area by tbe sea where you can go do short hiking from the sea to the hills.
Its easy hiking from there and you can see the trails

Recommended if you are short on time.
