“Beautiful place but beware”
Reviewed 22 August 2014 via mobile

Ok, I read a lot of reviews before going so beside the usual advice to take good shoes for trekking, sun screen and plenty of water, some other things to know.
First, its a good 1 hour walk if youre fit, more if you're not. Access is easy for the first 20-25 minutes, then there is some medium difficulty trekking and the hardest is the last 100 meters to the calenque itself.
Second, if you like nature and pristine places go to the calenques... if you want long sandy beaches and warm water, please go somewhere else, probably another country altogether as you will not find that in France

“Excellent!!!”
Reviewed 22 August 2014

It is THE PLACE to visit absolutely if you are in Marseille!
We've got the bus to Luminy and then we walked till the rocks and the sea :)

Here is the plan:

Calanque de Sugiton :
Metro 1 : stop à « Castellane » puis prendre le Metro 2 et stop à « Rond Point du Prado »
Bus 21 or 21 Jet jusqu’au terminus à « Luminy »
Le sentier de randonnée est indiqué et part en haut du parking

I advice you to prepare your picnic and to take a water. Cause on the place it is very expensive!

“breath taking views”
Reviewed 17 August 2014

very nice views, we took the long boat ride though which was a bit too much

If you take the shorter one you can still get a good taste of the Calanques

“Marseilleveyre is better”
Reviewed 14 August 2014

Knowing well the area, I use Sugiton if the callanque of Marseilleveyre cannot be reached because of the Mistral (high wind from the North). The hike to Marseilleveyre although slightly difficult is more rewarding as there are very few persons there and there is a restaurant with refreshment. The beach is 100 m long (or so) and very pleasant and not crowded unlike Sugiton which very crowded. Marseilleveyre can be reached from Callelongue.
