Corniche du Président J.F. Kennedy is the main coastal road of Marseille that begins in the heart of the city and is the main route to reach the beautiful beaches. It connects Marseille to the districts known as a summer holiday destination for tourists.
Originally constructed from 1850 – 1861, this beautiful coastal road was originally only 10 meters wide, however it was expanded from 1957 – 1968. It is now 22 meters wide today.
You can also walk along side the corniche by the "world's longest (concrete) bench"
