This sparkling new 5 star hotel is only a 5 minutes walk south from Marseilles Vieux Port. Based in an old building with beautiful characteristic elements like frescos and stylish stairwell. Still informal and small scaled. Even classic rooms are efficient, spacious, clean, modern, sound proof. Rooms on top floors have balcony and views, first and second floor look over a stylish courtyard and vertical garden.

Hotel Surprises:
Non alcoholic drinks (nespresso included) are free and refilled daily in your room
Small pool, bubble bath and relax area with fresh fruits, waters, small snacks
Staff very helpfull and informally 'navy' dressed
A glass of wine in the courtyard and enjoy the not too dominant 'deep' house music

While in Marseille don't forget:
A walk in old quarter le Panier (map and route avalible at hotel reception) and have a quiche in 'Cup of Tea' (Rue Casserie 1) which actually is a bookstore;
Visit la Notre Dame de la Garde, enjoy the view and have a basic lunch in its restaurant runned by nuns;
Ignore Rue St Firreol as main shopping street but visit paralell Rue Paradis or small streets in between;
Only visit 'the Calanques' by feet if you love a hike of at least an hour. Although views are beautiful, don't expect a deserted beach or lone swim in the end;
A drive to Cassis and have lunch in this lovely town;
Take a bus (line 83 from Vieux Port) to 'Valle des Auffes' and have Marseillan diner at Chez Jeannot (bus line 83 will take you to the beaches as well)

Marseille is often reviled and referred to as a dangerous city. This qualification of Frances oldest city is obviously outdated. Surprising and varied city trip destination if you love good food and variety of city and sea.

Beautiful hotel and tasteful decor. Room was simply fantastic, very modern with amazing bathroom and a huge comfy bed and the balcony as a nice addition. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Spa is fantastic with magazines and free refreshments. Hotel is also in a very convenient location to the Vieux Port. Overall had a wonderful stay - we didn't want to leave!!!! *Formidable!*. Only criticism is that the breakfast was very expensive at 30€ pp per night. We didn't opt for breakfast and ate from the local bakery.

Hate to start with the words like amazing... Nobody will ever believe anyway))) the receptionist was 20 mints on the phone kindly managing to bring us to the hotel, as we arrived at 2 am and have parked the car pretty far... We had a greating letter and fresh fruits waiting gor us.All creams, shampoos, gels and body creams by Hermes!!!!! Beautiful fashion, design interiors... Lovely bar with good deep house music... Great vertical garden... You also have nespresso coffe maschine in your room, good teas... All free!!! Spa is not huge but very good. Relaxing. Full of free coffes, teas, waters, cackes,fruits... Well, really good experience. All guys who work there are kind and helpfull with advices... The guy that usually worked in the night deserves some separate greatings. We really had a special treatment for a reasonable price. One day we will be back for sure.
