“Romance Lost in Time....”

We were welcomed to this gem located on the top of a cliff as if we were King and Queen. The staff was extraordinarily professional, friendly and helpful. The 1 star Michelin restaurant deserves a 2nd star. The staff and the kitchen produce a culinary experience that is not short of outstanding. The owner (and chef) was extremely pleasant, visiting the dining room after each dinner; you can feel the family presence in this establishment. In addition to his culinary prowess, the chef has suggestions for wonderful excursions nearby through the mountains. The accommodations are simply spectacular with a European flair, many antiques and period pieces ,stone walls, wood beams etc. Our very clean room had a balcony with chairs and table and a lovely view of the terrace and village. We will be back and cannot recommend it more, we loved it. Bravo to Christian and his staff! A stop on our honeymoon we won't forget!

We stayed in this hotel only one night. The reception was friendly the location of the hotel is right next to the historic village. The hotel has a very traditional charm, it's not modern but you wouldn't expect this at a place like this.
Te rooms were clean and the restaurant is worth a visit

We were so happy we made the to visit this lovely little mountain town. We did the hike up from the train station and boy was it steep! Once you make it up the hill you get an excellent view and a quiet and picturesque little town to experience. Both the b&b and the restaurant were excellent and without a doubt they were the highlight of our Provence experience.

We stayed for one night, unfortunately, and arrived at the Auberge de la Madone in the dark. What an interesting drive up the winding road and we came upon this oasis at the top! The staff were so accommodating with our late arrival and nothing was too much bother.
The absolutely unreserved highlight was the impeccable evening meal, and service we experienced. The staff were attentive and with character, Knowledge and perfect manners- what a lovely combination!
We had a room with a balcony at the front, and were delighted with a view of the village on the side of the mountain, and the valley below. Clean, tidy and very relaxing after such a long drive the day before.
Breakfast was again a lovely typically French experience and we certainly didn't leave hungry.
This is a must for next time, and longer.

Room Tip: The balcony room at the front had a spectacular view of the village on the side of the mountain and...

We stayed at Auberge de la Madone for 5 wonderful nights and although totally different to what I'd expected, It was much more than I could've imagined. While driving up the road thinking we were lost I spotted a village on top of mountain and thought it looked beautiful. After a few! twists and turns we arrived to our hilltop village. Our room was quite small but charming, although the lack of air conditioning was a problem. However we were supplied with a fan which helped. This would not be a place for young groups etc to visit, but if you're looking for a romantic break with absolutely wonderful food, this is the place for you. It's a family run auberge and father and son are passionate about their food. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, while at the same time being always in the background. It's a great base from which to tour the surrounding areas, especially Eze, and the turquoise lake. I loved every minute of my stay there.

Room Tip: Look for room facing front view. Be prepared for no air conditioning, although fans are supplied. If...

we had a nice trip in Monaco and we look to sleep in one of the village around the city.
we found peillon vilage on the map and we saw that there is one hotel in the village.
without any expectations we arrive to peillon and we saw one of the most spesical village that we ever saw.
the hotel is very unique, very old and very Mystery ( Remind us Adams family).
the rooms are very simple but clean with a great view of the valley

I was pleasantly surprised as I had no expectations, and except for the sagging mattress (rm. 18) it just fine. I would definitely recommend it as Peillon itself is a great little town which Is not yet ruined by exploitation as a tourist trap.
