What a wonderful chambre d'hote this is! My husband and I had 8 nights here in the Orientale room which was beautiful and we particularly loved having our own private patio. We relaxed in the lovely pool and stunning garden on most days. Jocelyn and Hubert are extremely friendly and charming hosts and always ensured we had everything we needed. We made full use of the summer kitchen and particularly liked the fact that the pretty town of St Remy is literally on your doorstep. I can only describe La Cigale et la Fourmi as a heavenly oasis. We were very sad to leave and will definitely visit again.

We had the 2 rooms available in this b&b; the Oriental room downstairs, and the upstairs room which is actually part of the hosts house so you need to climb up their stairs and come in through their front door for access (not necessarily a problem at all, but just to be aware). Hosts could not have been more lovely or helpful and really went out of their way to welcome you into their home. We loved to Oriental room - having its own private entrance, & little patio area was lovely. The garden is beautiful and obviously loved; having the pool was great to cool off in, and use of the summer kitchen beside the pool was fabulous for preparing some easy meals. Location wise it couldn't be better; not even a hop skip or a jump, but a quick step into the town centre, leave the car in the yard and not have to battle to find a car park in busy St Remy - it was great. Don't hesitate to stay here, it's fabulous.

We just left this little b and b and I already miss it. We stayed in the oriental room which is a large ground floor room, large bathroom, tub and seperate shower. Just outside the room is your patio with table, chairs and lounge chairs shaded by a small tree, looking out to a beautiful garden and pool. In the pool area is a kitchen with sink, refrigerator more table and chairs for your use. The hostess, Jocilyne, puts out a great variety of breakfast items such as home made preserves, croissants, brownies, yogurt, fresh cut up fruit, some mornings, not all, pancakes and crepes. There is parking on the property so you can walk into St Remy which is about 100 meters to to first restaurant. Several times we bought cheese, wine and bread and had lunch on the property. All of this for 110e. St Remy was a great base to see the rest of provence and was very easy to drive into and out of. I highly recommend, and don't often give reviews this good.

We stayed 5 days at this great B&B run by Jocelyn and her husband. Jocelyn was extremely helpful with whatever we needed and her breakfasts were generous and delicious - especially the home made jams and crepes. The location is fantastic - great to walk into town and leave the car behind, especially for dinner. Free parking available on site and a nice pool to cool off in. Very nice gardens. Overall a great stay in this modest price range. Would definitely come back.

We only stayed a couple of nights in La Cigale et la Fourmi but we wish we stayed longer. The room (oriental) was great, with nice fittings and lights, a massive bath great for relaxing as well as a shower, all very clean.
The garden is great, we had a small table for our own use in front of the room just under a tree that has lights in it, romantic for dinner time :)
The swimming pool is nice too indeed, and a big advantage is the private parking as they are right in the city centre. So you can leave your car safe to visit St Remy's centre and market. Wifi available, the breakfast was delicious (thank you Jocelyne for the tasty peach puree!)

All things considered a perfect stay, I will definitely go back as soon as I can!

We have just spent two wonderful weeks at La Cigale et la Fourmi and really did not want to leave this little piece of paradise in St Remy de Provence. Nothing is too much trouble for Jocelyn or Hubert who have looked after us so well. Our room was beautifully decorated and very comfortable - we haven't slept so well in ages. We had a table and chairs on the terrace outside our room covered by a beautiful little tree. The garden is a delight, with a lovely pool, many beautiful flowers, plenty of outdoor seating and table to eat at if you wish to. There is an outdoor kitchen which you are allowed to use, although we took advantage of the fantastic location - 2 minutes walk and we were in the lovely town with it's many restaurants. Breakfast was a marvellous spread including delicious home made jams, pastries, bread, brownies, fresh fruit and yogurt - and one morning fantastic crepes. The location is great for visiting so many beautiful places which Jocelyn helped us with each day!The parking is a real bonus as it is not an easy place to park otherwise. Thank you Jocelyn and Hubert for your excellent hospitality and kindness. We can't wait to return!

Room Tip: We were in the Oriental Room on the ground floor with large bathroom with the deepest bath I've...

We were so luckttofi d this place and we can't recommend it highly enough. First of all the house and garden are amazing and I doubt that anyone that has stayed here has not at some point uttered "could you imagine having a house like this!"

The breakfast is lovely with home made jams and fruits and the decor of the house and rooms is very tasteful with a Moroccan influence (some of the furniture designed by the owner jocelyn herself!)

The location is also great as it is a perfect place for exploring the area and it is in the centre of the very lovely st remy du Provence.

Jocelyn is a wonderful host and if you are lucky enough to get a room here you will not be disappointed. Highly recommended.
