I do travel a lot and stayed in hôtels all over the world, this has to be one of my best expériences.
Can compare the service to Asian Hôtels.
Service: From the moment I checked-in (merci Caroline) till I sadly checked-out, the service was outstanding at the reception, (I was constantly regognized). The staff in both restaurants and the bar were so professional and friendly.
The housekeeping staff took care of any of my needs.

Room: I was provided with a large corner room on the first floor, kind of mini-suite with a wrapping balcony. Nicely furnished, plenty of space in closet and drawers for a long stay.
Very comfortable bed. Bright and large bathroom with a shower stall equiped with multi shower heads. Jaccuzi. Large vanity. Great coffee maker and Superior quality of teas.

Restaurants: While St Remy has plenty of restaurants to offer, working long hours during my recent trip, I decided to take all my dinner in the restaurants. The food was fantastic, simplier in the main restaurant and Superior in the gastronomic restaurants. Bread is incredible with a local olive oïl. My favorite one looked like cinamon bun but stuffed with an olive tapenade. Too good.
One night they had received fresh cep mushooms and were proposed in a fantastic carpaccio and sauteed with a rizotto (a little bit too salty).
The breakfast buffet is one of the best I ever saw. It includes many local pastries. Unique homemade jams, honey. Local cheeses, Whole dry ham (to be sliced), dry salamis, eggs, bacon. To name a few items for a mere 23 Euros.

Outdoor: great pool, superb gardens.
Only one negative comment. Why having a fake laurel tree on the room balcony :o(

Thank you to the great staff. I'll be back very soon.

Room Tip: try getting a room on the first floor, facing South with a large balcony or terrace.

It was a bad night for the hotel staff we figured. We got the room with heavy cigarette smoke smell. It felt that I was inside an ashtray, even though my husband smokes, he could not take it either. So I went downstairs and they told me they are going to take care of it. I thought we were getting a different room, but all we got was the used electric wall diffuser with sAome flowery smell which made my headache even worse. We did go to the sauna, but could not even have a rest on the pool chairs - because there were literally like 6 chairs only, all taken. So we had to go straight back to the room after a swim. Information in the room said that we have to wear bathrobes to the sauna - they were white at some point, but probably a long time ago, they felt like they've been washed a thousand times... literally. So we decided against it :-).. And the last drop was the reservation the the restaurant which was not made as promised by the front desk, and they didn't know where to place us, so we got a table right in the middle of the room. In about 2 minutes we understood that something was really wrong cause all the staff was uselessly running around our table, very fast and empty handed. 20 minutes later we were given the menu and asked if i wanted something to drink. I ordered glass of champagne, and the staff continued to run around looking that they were totally lost. Another 15 minutes passed by and people at the other tables looked very frustrated. So I finally asked a waiter if there was something wrong, and he said yes, we are missing like 3 people. It was 9:30 and we have not eaten since breakfast.... So we got up and left, drove to town, by accident witnessed a bicycle rally and found a great Moroccan restaurant with greatest stuff, right prices and amazing atmosphere with appropriate to the place music. It is outside, so we sat under a huge chestnut tree. It was someone's BD, so the stuff came out with little fireworks and belly dancing. We considered ourselves lucky that we did not stay. We cancelled our second night and booked Mas de l'Oulivie which was much cheaper and such a relief from this experience

Our room at the this hotel was nice, spacious and clean. There is a big closet and some storage room in the bathroom too. The bathroom is big it has two sinks and plenty of room. Having the toilette separate from the bathroom is an advantage.

The staff at the reception was friendly, spoke English and was helpful with directions and recommendations.

The first night there was no electricity for many hours, from midnight to about six in the morning. Because of the power failure the air conditioning wasn't working and the heat woke me up.. I called the front desk to find out what was happening, and the person who answered that night knew no English. Luckily thanks to my high-school French I was able to understand that nothing could be done and that an electrician would come in the morning. No explanation or apology followed our ruined first night there.

Breakfast is 23 Euro, and not worth that price. Breakfast is self service, and the service then is minimal. One of the mornings the only server at breakfast knew no English at all. Not even enough to ask our room number or understand the answer. There were vegetables, fruit, yogurt, mediocre pastries, cereal, cold cuts, cheese, and some bacon and scrambled eggs made beforehand.

We didn't use the spa facilities in the hotel so I can't comment on that. They have both an inside pool and an outdoors one. There was always plenty of room around them, but this was the end of September not high tourist season.

There were many newspapers and magazines in many places at the hotel all of them in French.

We recently returned from a tour of France which included two nights at this hotel. We were with a tour group so we had very little "down time" to relax - but would have loved to have had an extra couple of days just to hang around the hotel. Our room - though small in size - was lovely and very well-appointed. We had a small balcony with a table and two chairs where we could sit and take in a nice view of the mountains in the distance. The pool area is very appealing as is the outdoor dining patio. There is a cute little bar with a friendly staff. We would recommend this property to any one traveling in this area of France.

Just back, from a week staying at the Vallon de Vallruges. The hotel is well located for St Remy de Provence, being a brisk 10 minute walk from the centre of the town. We had two loggia rooms for our party, on the second floor, south facing with views to the Alpilles. The rooms were modest in size but well equipped, including capsule espresso machine, and the balconies were secluded and sunny for most of the day. The pool was not too busy until 4pm and was very well maintained. We used the gym and the indoor pool on the one occasion when the it was a little cloudy and again these were well resourced and maintained. We ate in the bistro restaurant and otherwise in St Remy as there are so many choices there - though always important to reserve fro dinner. A special mention for the housekeeping which was exemplary and the staff were universally pleasant and helpful.

My husband is from Paris; we planned to buy a second home in Provence however, after staying at this hotel we decided to call it home when visiting Provence.
The rooms, service, food, staff and anything you could possibly desire was available. After many years of visiting Paris and Provence, we found our 'home'. The staff speaks English, so that is not an issue. There is a spa and a little work out area (not big in France).
We will bring our little Coton de Tulear on our next trip. The hotel is dog friendly as is most of France. Bisou will fit in just fine here.
You can't get a bad meal, wine or cheese here.
Hint: fly into Paris and take the Rapid. I would rent a car at the train station.

My wife and I stayed here for four days during our spring vacation to St. Remy & Gordes. The staff was incredible. They were nice enough to upgrade us to a considerably larger room which featured it's own private pool. The hotel was updating many of their rooms at the time and based on the photos now on their website, it looks like they have completed their work. It looks even more beautiful than when we visited. While the hotel itself is based just outside of the downtown area, we actually enjoyed our walks to and from the city. Beautiful hotel!
