Wonderful hotel in beautiful setting
Luxury room was large and well equipped. Comfortable bed and modern bathroom. Shame there was no separate shower cubicle
Food very good and service unobtrusive but efficient and friendly. Warmer service than I have experienced at other luxury chateaux hotels. Pool area beautiful and peaceful and loungers very comfortable. Only slight criticism is that breakfast was expensive and service at breakfast rather haphazard unlike at other times.
Would definitely go back

We loved our 5 nights in Provence and were reluctant to leave for Paris. The service was excellent beginning with the reservation process through Celine and continuing with all other staff. Everyone was very helpful and gracious. We were travelling with our two children ages 10 and 14 and this was their favorite hotel out of 4 very nice European properties. The grounds and the swimming pool were amazing. The rooms were well appointed and immaculate. Linens, etc great. Saint Remy is a delightful town and the location ideal. We canoed to Pont du Gard, drove to Gordes, visited nearby Senanque Abbey Amongst the lavender fields, Le Beaux and Art Show in the modern caves. I highly recommend doing all of the activities and can't wait to return. Thank you to the hotel for this very memorable stay.

Le Chateau des Alpilles is so exact, so curated, there is no aspect left open for dissatisfaction.

I could jot up all the details but it's honestly best if travelers experience this place for themselves.

The owner herself greeted us at the door upon check-in with a we've-been-waiting-for-you vibe. Meals and wine list: pin-point perfect

Le Château des Alipilles is well deserving of its many kudos and the recognition it has earned over the years. If one finds oneself in or nearby St-Rémy-de-Provence and desirous of a memorable lodging experience, one cannot do better than to make reservations at the Château for a pleasurable experience. The cost of lodging and dining is not inexpensive, but, as they say, "You get what you pay for [here.]" The cuisine and selection of wines is excellent and the waiters are most accommodating in making tasteful suggestions, when asked. The swimming pool and sauna are most inviting, not to mention having a relaxing massage as one's needs dictate. By all means, treat yourselves (It is best if it is a shared experience.) to the timeless charm to be readily found here.

Everything about this property is special, and I agree with the postings that describe the chateaux as more of a home than a hotel.
In addition to the plane tree-lined drive that showcases the chateaux, the property has several very old trees that create a shaded ambiance for dining. You feel like you've stepped back in time.
Dining under the stars on a warm summer night is a memory not soon forgotten.

Room Tip: We stayed in a large corner room in the main house and loved it.

We just spent our first visit at this hotel/chateau. It really is more of a home than a hotel, and the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff is what sets it apart. Celine and Guillamme at reception were always helpful in any way.

Ate our dinners at the chateau and could not have bee more pleased. Choice of a la carte or prie fixe menu provided wonderful choices. Wine list was sufficient, and Jean-Pierre provided great suggestions.

Lunch by the pool could be a special treat. Breakfast in the morning was wonderful, especially given the wonderful service and personality of Elodie, who was the primary attendant.

During our stay, many of the guests were there for an extended period and/or had been returning for years. It is a nice setting if you are looking for an interlude during an active trip, but St Remy did not have as much charm as some surrounding areas, such as Gordes. Seems the commercial appeal is taking over - but this hotel is outside of town and offers a great respite.

Enjoy.

My girlfriend and I stayed in the Chateau for four nights in mid-May, 2014. Our room in the Chateau was large, clean with a modern on-suite bathroom. The bed was large a comfortable.
The chateaux itself is a stunningly beautiful building at the end of a long tree lined driveway. The grounds are attractive. There are several attractive outbuildings with rooms to rent, a relaxing a pool and two tennis courts which need resurfacing. The chateau is located 3/4 of a mile from the idyllic village of Saint Remy. The highlight of our stay was dinning outside in front of the Chateau. Breakfast outdoors with the sun peaking through the trees, and a slight breeze of lavender in the air was dreamlike. Candle light dinner under the stars was gourmet and romantic. If you are staying at the chateau, or visiting the area don't miss dinner on the terrace outside the hotel.

Room Tip: Rooms in the main chateau are five star. Room in the small "chapel" beside the chateau a...
