We stayed for three nights in this fantastic accommodation. Rooms were very nicely maintained and decorated. A peaceful and nicely manicured property only a ten minute walk to St Remy town. Jordane is a lovely host and gave us tips on where to go and how to get there. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this accommodation

We just returned from two incredible weeks in France, the last one at this wonderful property in St. Remy de Provence. We had a car (plenty of private parking) and St. Remy is a charming town with extremely friendly locals. We used it as a base to make easy day trips to Aix, Nimes, the Pont du Gard, Orange, the Luberon, the Cote du Rhone wine country and even Cassis on the Med, all within 1 1/2 hours. Our group of three had the 2 BR 1.5 bath farmhouse which was fully stocked with everything we needed except food, and there are two grocery stores within a five minute drive or 15 minute walk into town. Jordane and Rafael were wonderful hosts and we highly recommend this location to anyone who is looking to do some of the things we did. Ironically I accidentally found them because the property I was really interested in was full and their owner recommended I contact her friend Jordane, who by the way speaks fluent English. We would definitely return here.

Looking for somewhere with wifi, safe place to park, and a kettle? Then this is perfect and has a few added extras. We were offered a little independent room, comrising a bed, a more or less fully equipped kitchen, table, comfy chairs and lovely bathroom.
About a ten minute walk from the town centre, dark walk home in places at night.
Surprisingly nice plunge pool, that was very welcome after a day out on an electric bike.
Breakfast comprises croissants, baguette, fresh home grown fruit, Bonne maman jams, and hot drink, served en terrasse if warm enough, or inside the mas if too early or cold/windy.
Jordane is extremely helpful with regard to local knowledge and directions if lost. Would reccommend.

We've just spent four nights in Jordane and Raphael Marsot's exquisite B&B a few minutes' walk or drive from the center of charming St. Remy de Provence. The photographs do not do this lovely lodging and its grounds justice, failing to capture the paradoxical warmth of the lovingly restored stone buildings and the meticulousness of the grooming of the landscape. As we drove in, Raphael was pruning trees at the entrance, and the evidence of his care abounds -- in the hedge of grapes lining the drive, the gravel paths, the fig tree bursting with fruit, the olive trees -- the various greens and textures serene against the backdrop of Les Alpilles. It would be easy to miss how much care goes into maintaining the understated landscape, but once noted you cannot escape seeing one thing after the next that reflects the attention to detail this couple has lavished on their property. Jordane's decorating sensibility is superb and her fresh approach complements the lovely old stone buildings perfectly. Our bed and pillows were comfortable and nights were still, perfect for sleeping. Dark skies were wonderful for star gazing.

Jordane's counsel was invaluable; she advised us to take the approach to Les Baux which featured the most dramatic view of the medieval town, and counseled us about markets, the nearby Calanquet olive oil factory, Lansac winery and Olivades outlet (though the last still featured very high prices.) She loves her region and knows it well, and her English is very good.

She and Raphael are marvelous hosts, thoughtfully sharing a lovely rose with us one night to celebrate our 41st anniversary and, at my request, correcting my French so as to help me improve.

Breakfast featured crisp, delicious croissants au beurre and crusty ficelle, yogurt, preserves, freshly picked grapes and tiny plums, orange juice and large cups of excellent French pressed coffee, or tea. It was served outside beneath an arbor and brought together guests, which was fun.

We walked into town along the canal, about a fifteen minute's walk, but at night we'd return along the lighted road from town instead. There aren't sidewalks the entire way, so one must take care.

In addition, it can be a bit challenging to find the Mas the first time, but it is well worth the effort and once you've found your bearings, it's not difficult to navigate the area. Mas de la Croix D'Arles is well situated in the midst of many charming towns and sights, but also affords the opportunity to just rest in its tranquil setting and relax.

We look forward to returning and doing more of that exploring!!

Room Tip: Email Jordane for precise directions to the B&B as it doesn't come up on every GPS.

We just spent two perfect days at Mas de la Croix d'Arles. This is the perfect place to recharge and recover if you need some time 'away from it all'. Simple things really are the best.

The room was very comfortable, the bungalow perfectly fit in the landscape, surrounded by olive trees. The garden was very nicely maintained but also not overly fussy (like some other places you see in Provence, that feel a bit 'fake'). The property has a lounge pool and plenty of space to hang around and lie outside just catching some sun.

Jordane was super helpful (thank you :) and was always ready to make our stay comfortable - whether it was about helping open a bottle of wine, give us recommendations of where to go and when, etc. The entire time we felt at ease, we were never rushed, and all in all had two perfect days in a beautiful environment. Definitely recommended and if given the opportunity, we will be back!

We stayed for 4 nights and had a wonderful and relaxing stay. The location was great for not just visiting St Remy, but many other places in Provence. Our room was very clean and comfortable and Jordane was a great host, going out of her way to help us. My daughter also loved the plunge pool!

We will definitely be back.

A huge thank you to Jordane Marsot and her lovely family (including Eytan the dog!), for welcoming us to Mas de la Croix d'Arles and making our week in Provence so special. Her invitations to local events and advice regarding places to go and general local knowledge added so much to an amazing experience. In particular we loved the Eygalières market, the big horses at Chateaurenard and of course the running of the sheep through beautiful St. Remy, all a direct result of Jordane's recommendations. Our accommodation was charming and comfortable, in a peaceful and relaxed setting with views to the Alpilles and only a 10 minute walk from the heart of St. Remy along country lanes blooming with wild poppies. Our gite was self catering and simply but tastefully decorated, and with all basic amenities provided. We loved the view from our kitchen window to the meadows and fields beyond, and by night it was warm and cosy also. If there was any negatives to be said it would be that the hot water often ran cold by nightfall, and that wifi was limited indoors due to the thickness of those gorgeous stone walls. Both were small inconveniences in an otherwise perfect week. We would definitely return in a heartbeat.
