A second visit to an hotel always shows confidence and we love Sous Les Figuiers!! The concept is elegant, tasteful and simple - a series of rooms around a beautiful garden full of fig trees in the centre of the charming town of St Rémy de Provence. The smell of ripe figs (in late July/August) is wonderful and guests are free to pick the delicious fruit at will.
The two owners of the hotel are welcoming and helpful and there is always a better atmosphere when they are in evidence. Kups, the Dutch lady, is multi-lingual and energetic and we were very happy to see her again.

A delicious breakfast is served in the lobby/terrace in the entrance area of the hotel - good croissant, bread, fruit, local jams, etc. The rooms are simply furnished, well designed and very clean. WiFi is provided free of charge. A charming place indeed!

My husband and I were enchanted by this small hotel. The gardens were beautiful and so fragrant, just like you imagine Provence should smell. The room was stylish and very comfortable - I highly recommend this charming property!

Staff was friendly, room was perfect, and the garden was an oasis of tranquility. The breakfast was not included in the price, which surprised me a little. They may or may not have explained that to me. But it was excellent breakfast. I lingered the day I checked out just to spend a couple hours sitting in the courtyard garden. It was a two minute walk to the historic quarter of town, another minute to the first of several good restaurants. I wish I could have stayed longer.

Room Tip: My room was on an interior corridor and was lovely. Other rooms were like little bungalows off the lush green and fountained courtyard. Perhaps worth the little extra for an even more romantic stay. All rooms are ground floor.

We drove into St. Remy after sunset and after visiting several establishments found this to our liking. Coops is a lovely hostess and the rooms, though small and simple are in a fantastic setting amongst fig trees that were laiden with edible fruit. The small verandah was a lovely spot to have pre-dinner drinks and then several restaurants were recommended and they were excellent. I would definitely stay there again.

A very welcoming place to stay, more like a Bed and Breakfast than a hotel. Stay in one of the private cabins, in the fig tree grove where you can pick your own figs morning, noon and night! Provided you're there in August or September of course... The hostess is very hospitable and friendly and speaks multiple languages. Free wifi, and computer available if you didn't bring your own! Delicious breakfasts, with fresh croissants and other wonderful breads, along with yogurt, juice and coffee or tea. Location is convenient to the center of St. Remy and to highways. Highly recommended.
