Adagio Annecy Centre

A very pleasant Euro-hotel, well equipped with kitchenette so guests can cook for themselves - nothing extravagant, but serviceable for a stay of up to several days. Rooms are clean and bright, aircon is excellent, bathroom and w/c are fine. My room had a double bed and a small single, and it would be fine for a family of three if the third is a youngish child. A bit tight otherwise.

Location is great. Very close to old town (less than 5 minute walk) and to train station and to modern shopping centre with fully-stocked Monoprix grocery store.

Free wi-fi is bad. Horribly slow, like dial-up. If you need good wi-fi, opt for the paid service when you first log in. Bathroom is only furnished with liquid soap. And if you need facecloths or small washcloths, bring your own. Hotel only provides bath towels and hand towels.

But positives well outweigh negatives. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on higher floor, with some kind of balcony. Ask for exterior room.

Located perfect for exploring the old town. The staff is always willing to help. I can not evaluate the quality of the food because we did not eat there. We spent 4 nights in the studio, which has everything you need, including a dishwasher. Near a large shopping center. Great value for money. I will recommend this hotel to my friends.

We stayed at the Adagio for about a month while in transition from having moved from the US to France. I think the Adagio is rated as a 4 star hotel but if you're comparing it to the US standard it's probably closer to 3. The staff speaks English and most of them are very friendly. We have a lot of electronics and we keep tripping the breaker so I think they got familiar with us very quickly. There are some things that you can get at the front desk that they don't normally provide like toasters and loofas. Pets are allowed and the rooms are not distinguished so I pre-cleaned the room again before we settled for our first night (allergies). There's no AC in the winter but if you open the windows it will be cool enough. Only problem is if you have neighbors who smoke, you'll start getting their second hand smoke soon enough. There's a small (Really small) kitchen and fridge so you can cook. The bed is rock hard and my arms keeps falling asleep in the middle of the night, but if your price conscious, it will do in a pinch. I'm booking stays at the accor hotels group and they all have the same beds but like I said, the price is good in comparison.

Parking underground is slightly hard to find but right next to the hotel. used as a stopover before heading up into alps skiing the room size and style was above average. Hotel ideally placed for wandering into town and the many restaurants. Overall we will probably use it again. Worth considering!

For a family this was an excellent choice. The rooms were a good size, clean and adequately furnished. The single bed was not really suitable for an older adult but OK for the young. Nice to have baths and showers. What made this good was the location - five minutes walk from the station (no noise though, which was surprisingly good). A pleasant walk through the pretty town to the lake and river - almost car free and lots to look at. The best feature was the staff who were charming and incredibly helpful.

Nice, clean and modern presentation of a apart-hotel. We were a family of four and the layout of our suite was just fine. The place was spotlessly clean; the desk staff particularly helpful and the car=parking was free. The wifi worked perfectly well and was also free. There is also a small sauna (no steam room though) on the ground floor and again, it was pristinely clean and well stacked with fresh towels, toiletries, etc.

Location is good - in the heart of the town, overlooking the train-station (no noise though) and literally on the doorstep is the town's shopping mall with plenty to choose from for breakfast.

It is all well and good in eating at the fantastic bars and restaurants over a week in France - but knowing we'd be yearning for buying local food and trying out this seemed an ideal option.

Location is good, just behind station and a short 10 min walk to bars and shops. Not the easiest to find, but once there good car park underground at €10 a night, and reception very welcoming, as were all the staff throughout our stay.

Room itself is a little unusual, but well designed. Booked a 3 person for 2 of us - a good choice as did not have to have a settee / bed combo. The approach to furnishings is very much MDF - and consequently looks a little cheap and as if it will not last well to heavy use - this said all was OK in room. Negatives was a weak shower that managed to leak; and very strong smell of ingrained stale smoke which cleaners had tried to mask with air freshener - it was a non smoking room - but must have had a very heavy previous smoker or being converted from smoking room without a deep clean. 3 days windows open we were just getting rid of smell. Cleaning was fair at best - first night stayed in bare footed - feet were black within a hour or two - floors need good mopping.

However positive that kitchenette had hob, microwave, fridge, dishwasher etc that all worked well, lots of crockery - needed a wash but OK; and wash up liquid, dishwasher tabs had been left.

Good option for Annecy and we enjoyed stay. Had room been cleaner that would be a bonus, and price fair for the town. Only shame was that Accor Hotels emailed me a 3 nights for price of 2 offer a few days after booking and I could have got the Mercure or Novotel cheaper - think that may have been a better option; BUT I did enjoy the option of the kitchen so choice not as clear.
