“Great Location. Don't expect a lot from the staff.”
Reviewed 29 July 2013

This hotel, looking over Lake Annecy, is situated on a hill with some amazing views. The hotel itself is very nice and the grounds. There is an indoor and outdoor pool. We booked a room with a lake view and that was gorgeous. As the room we had was East facing, when the sun rose in the mornings above the mountains it shined right into the room which was quite nice. The room itself was fairly small and functional but we weren't spending a lot of time in there so it didn't bother us. The bathroom had a nice shower and huge bath (think Hot Tub) and everything was very clean.

We really liked our stay but I have to say the staff were very sub standard. We ate in the brasserie on the first night and the service was very slow, inattentive, almost rude and we felt like they'd hired local students and not bothered to train them. The following morning it was hard to get served for some coffee/tea. There is an outdoor pool, beside a bar, but no one came around asking if we'd like a drink which would have been a nice relaxing touch.

The overall staff at the reception desk were ok but not what I'd call pleasant. In fact their incompetence almost ruined our day trip into the town.

Room Tip: Ask for a lake side facing room and if you want a balcony make sure you ask for it. Not all the lak...

Zoomed in from London and Paris so we were really ready for this quiet and tranquil haven. The weather was sunny and hot everyday of our 6 and although we were concerned about having no air conditioning in our room, the temps and breezes were nice at night. Wi fi was weak but free throughout hotel. When I asked front desk for 2 plates and some silverware to take up to our room,
I was "scolded" and told that that would not be possible due to the fact they have a restaurant . ( i ( I had asked for the same the night before and received the request without a problem, tipped the staffer well and did not think twice about
asking again)The hike to town is about 20 minutes and there is a forest hike you take as a short cut so bring a flashlight in case you have too much fun at dinner and it gets late! Exceptional beauty in surrounding view and probably would return.

Room Tip: Forest view rooms at end of hallways have a hint of lake view from balcony! Expect a small room but...

Les Tresoms has a stunning location and views and is a lovely property. The Spa was exceptional, rejuvenating. The receptionist was helpful but no-one offered to help us with our luggage coming or going. We mostly felt like the guests had to make way for the conference bookings. The breakfast was just barely average, a couple of days quite poor - not worth the EUR25 charged. The brasserie was not open for lunch or for dinner some days, leaving the high priced formal restaurant. Annecy was a 7 minute drive away but we would have loved to have spent more time at the hotel. Inexplicably, room service did not serve hot food, just salads. We were so disappointed, we left three days early and went to Talloires for the remainder of our stay - and extended for a few days as it was so tranquil there. I was reluctant to be negative until we saw written feedback from another couple in the visitors' book, which was much more detailed than my review. But like them, for these reasons we will not return.

We booked Les Tresoms for two nights on our way back from Grimaud. The receptionist was extremely helpful and we went straight to room 109. This for 2 people was very small and old fashioned with the bathroom being no better.
Later on we went to the restaurant and asked the waiter did they have a menu in English, received a quick non and walked away. The next day at the pool side I asked for a beer and after 1hr still waiting.
Annecy is stunning and will return one day but would not stay at Les Tresoms.

Room Tip: They do have lake views but they are expensive ours was forest view.

This hotel is clearly focused on corporate groups. The spa is really nice but adults only and we were disappointed to find the construction work still underway. The website had said it would be finished. The main dining room is apparently only for large tables of 6 or more and was unused when we were there. The regular dining room is nice with a great view and the food is good but not up to the reputation the Chef is trying to sell. Dining room servers seemed to be young students with little training and this caused us difficulties too many times. Anyway. a beautiful location once the grounds work is completed and the outdoors sections can be enjoyed. Front desk staff were very efficient and helpful.

Room Tip: ask for a clear view of the lake.

We had a 2 night stay here. Room a bit small. Restaurant enjoyable (but not quite as good as the hotel thinks it is). Free parking and an enjoyable walk to the old town via the forest and then the lakeside, which suited us very well

Room Tip: We had a forest room - since it rained a lot while we were there the views of the lake would not hav...

While located with a lovely view over Lake Annecy, this hotel has seen better days. Our room was nice, with an exceptional view. But service in the restaurants was slow and disorganized - wrong orders brought on several occasions, slow service, mediocre food. The staff at the front desk seemed like trainees! All in all, the hotel is overpriced fo what they deliver.

Room Tip: Get a room with a lake view - even though more expensive. Otherwise you oar overlooking a parking l...
