Taverne de Maitre Kanter has a gorgeous location near the canal/lake. The view across to the church is lovely.
We were lucky enough to dine here for lunch on a glorious afternoon in April. This is a huge restaurant (biggest area being the outdoor seating area). It was full of both local business people and tourists. I was enthralled at the variety of local speciality dishes on the menu. I wish I was brave enough to try one.
We had the Flammekueche and the Savoyarde Salad. Both were delicious (especially for a touristy trap restaurant). I had a very small glass of Chablis and hubby had a very large beer.
The bill was under €40 - which was excellent value I felt.
Service was good - food was tasty. Setting was perfect….
