It's a beautiful castle and has some nice views of town. However, it's primarily an art museum. The art itself is not bad, but it just seems like such a waste -- much of it is contemporary art that could be displayed in a much more appropriate setting. There is a separate building with some information about the lake that may be interesting to natural history buffs. Not sure it was worth the 5 Euro admission or the 30 minutes it took to go through it. Annecy is better suited for simply relaxing at the park, strolling along the canals, or other activities -- this will seem like a waste compared to that.
