“Lovely quiet mountain setting”
Reviewed 6 July 2015 for a stay in July 2014

We had an amazing time at Les Chanterelles, the property is very well set out with all the amenities required and very clean. The setting was beautiful with a lovely view of the mountains from the wrap around deck, the surrounds were very peaceful so much so we were woken every morning by the sound of cowbells as they fed in the field outside the bedroom window. Property is also perfectly located for activities in the surrounding area. There are several good mountain walk easy to hard within an hours drive and the cycle track on the west of the lake is ideal if you hire a bike from one of the many hire shops in the area.

Only slightly disappointing aspect was the gas on the BBQ ran out on the 2nd occasion we attempted to use and there was no back up cylinder.

“Rural Retreat”
Reviewed 22 June 2015 for a stay in June 2015

We were pleased with the quality and provision of amenities and the setting overall.

The location is in a quiet, rural village setting just outside Montmin in a confusingly named sub-village called Plan Montmin. It is difficult to find straightaway and, as the mobile signal is weak, you may need alternate help. The roads to access the location are small and winding. There are no shops or activities in the village so car journeys will be needed to stock up the fridge.

The views from the upper balcony are splendid and ideal for a relaxing meal or gentle unwind. Nearest supermarket is at Faverges about 10-15 minutes drive away.

The kitchen was well equipped and we lacked nothing.

The 2 main bedrooms adequately each accommodate 2 adults. The third bedroom is smaller with the provision of 2 single "bunk-beds" and 2 rollaway beds but an adult can sleep there as well although this is clearly the third choice room overall.

2 spacious bathrooms one with full shower facilities and one with bath and shower hose.

Modern washing machine as well.

The interior wi-fi signal was very good.

“A true Alps experience”
Reviewed 5 March 2015 for a stay in February 2015

This place was fantastic. It is very spacious with all the amenities a family needs to enjoy some quality time in the Alps. It is very close to a small ski slope for anyone wanting to learn to ski or snowshoe but is also nestled in an isolated cluster of houses on the side of a mountain should you seek tranquility. We spent our days playing in the snow and enjoying the scenery. We brought with us two children - ages one and three - and we all had a great time. My only suggestion would be to ensure your car is 4WD or has chains - our snow tires were insufficient to get us home in the snow without the help of a friendly neighbor.

“Lovely spot”
Reviewed 24 February 2015 for a stay in February 2015

We stayed here to be close to both Annecy and the Ski fields and it worked very well. The house was comfortable and well set-up (we were two families, each two adults and two small children). We had a few glitches (including finding the place as we didn't get a signal for the GPS there) but the local support was there to help us. The setting is beautiful and the kids loved playing in the snow and sledding on the property. You definitely need chains/snow tires in winter but the wonderful views are worth it.
