Returned to Chalet Blanche at the request of our children who loved it so much. Yet again they weren't disappointed; the food was fantastic as was the hospitality and all the activities. We have recommended Chalet Blanche to several friends who have also now been and all agreed how superb it was and what excellent value. No doubt we will return in the near future.

I have ben to Chamonix many times to climb and walk. The biggest issue has always been to find a great location to stay, flexible accomodation and friendly hosts. We need look no further, as this year we found Chalet Blanche. We walked the Vallee Blanche a great glacier challenge and arete for anyone wnating that " Alpine snow climb, ropes, crampons " experience without the scariness of Mt Blanc. We made it up that Aiguille ridge after 4 hours of uphill climb across the crevasse lined snow valley. Here are our pics posted to the site. Debbie and her family had no hesitation in making sure that we were looked after. We met our guide Isabelle Sartoire early and Debbie made sure we had enough breakfast, picnic and off we went. A truly memorable day and if we can do it .. anyone can. A good tip is to go at the same time as the Ultra Trail of Mont Blanc race in Chamonix . UTMB 2012/ Chalet Blanche here we come !

Stayed in Chamonix very recently for 4 nights and so pleased to have booked and stayed in Deb and Al's Chalet. From the moment we arrived we were made very welcome and we felt totally at ease. Deb was so warm and friendly and always willing to help out and advise and take us to places when we required it. We did not get to meet Al this time, but had heard from another guest that he is a gentleman and a great cook!! Having stayed in many chalets over the years we can say that this was the best one we have stayed in by far. The house itself is ideally located about an 8 minute walk from the centre of Chamonix and has a great view of Mont Blanc. The rooms are comfortable and the place is spotless. We had the chance to cook if we so wanted and make our lunch for our trips out etc... More importantly we felt very welcome and comfortable. We would definitely recommend this chalet and we have already planned to return and stay next August. And if we can persuade our friends to go skiing then we will see Deb, Al and their lovely children in early Jan 2012'.

Good location just out of the main part of town but close to walk into. Al and Debbie were great host. Wished we had known to book a few home cooked dinners at the house. It always smelled delicious.

I stayed at Chalet Blanche for a long weekend in June with my wife and 2 young kids. We stayed in the family room on the ground floor, which is compact but comfortable and perfect for early mornings with the kids as it's located near the kitchen. The chalet is about 10 mins walk from the centre and has a great layout and the hot tub was very popular. Al and Debbie are fantastic hosts and are genuinely are interested in helping you to make your stay in the Chamonix area the best. Would 100% go back.

We have just got back from a week-long family activity holiday and can only echo what has gone before. Small but clean and comfortable rooms with great views of Mont Blanc. Debbie and Al booked activities for us and ferried us to and from those activities and other things we wanted to do in the town. Al's 3 course meals were wholesome and plentiful and kept a fussy teen happy. Nice buffet breakfasts with plenty to eat. First floor lounge with Wii, PS2, TV and honesty bar were great for evening relaxing. Many thanks guys!!!

What a wonderful weekend we had at Chalet Blanche! We stayed for a weekend at the end of July to celebrate my Husbands 40th (& at the same time have a look at Mont Blanc as my husband and eldest son are hoping to climb it in the near future). This was our 1st visit to Chamonix and we loved it!
Debbie & Al were so welcoming, friendly and helpful, thank you for accomodating us so well, it was very much appreciated. Nothing was too much trouble, Debbie helped me by sorting out the Birthday Cake, it was fabulous, and also recommending and booking the resturant Le Munchies for us.Lots of nice little touches that made our stay so special, we even had a bottle of champagne on arrival!
My husband and I, and our two boys were blown away with the amazing views of the Mont Blanc Massif from the chalet, stunning!
Also,we all very much enjoyed the friendly atmosphere and the opportunity to chat to other families around the breakfast table in the mornings.
Hopefully, we will return in the not too distant future and most definitely would book again to stay at Chalet Blanche!
