We have stayed twice at Chalet Blanche, both times in the summer
season for some easy walking in the Chamonix valley. Debbie and
Al arranged our pick up from the airport which made it easy and trouble
free to get to Chamonix. We had a warm welcome from both our hosts Debbie
and Al which made a great start to our short break.

Our rooms were comfortable, cosy and on both occasions we had great views of
Mont Blanc. Sitting in the hot tub with a glass or two in glorious weather
made it even better, one of the best views in Chamonix! The breakfasts
were plentiful which set you up for the walking to come - thanks to Dave.
Take a walk to Lac Blanc which gives you one of the most beautiful views
in the world!

We have now booked a week in Feb with our daughters and their partners
for some skiing, snowboarding and snowshoeing and we are sure we will
get the same great welcome.

I would recommend Chalet Blanche to anybody.

We had a family gathering of 8 people this summer at Al and Debbie's place this summer, and found the B&B perfect for our needs in many ways. We were traveling with 3 kids, ages 10-15, and grandma who's almost 70. Al and Debbie were very kind hosts, and made you feel right at home. Every morning, either Al or Debbie would be helping out during breakfast, and helping us plan our day. They are both very knowledgable about various hiking options, so the hikes they recommended were very good.

There are two kitchens, one upstairs for guests to cook and store their food, and one downstairs where everyone meets for breakfast. The kitchen upstairs is attached to a cozy family room and verandah, a perfect place to make a quick hot cocoa and hang out to enjoy the views. Most bedrooms are located on the 2nd and 3rd floors, but there is one bedroom near the kitchen for those who would like to avoid staircases. The bedrooms were clean and basic, and the environment is very quiet.

Breakfast was very good, with abundant fruit, croissants, bread, jams, juice, milk, and eggs to order. Fresh fruit is provided throughout the day, which was a nice touch. I loved the fact that the kitchen was truly user friendly. I've been to a few B&B's where the kitchen is off-limits. When traveling with a large group, it is very helpful to have access to a kitchen.

Chef David, the in-house chef, cooked a few dinners for us, and it was great to get some true home cooking while on the road. We also booked a few in-house massages as well, and she was superb! We get massages about once a week back at home, so we were initially a bit wary, but the massage was truly a deep tissue sports massage!

The hotel is located about 3 minutes away from a top local restaurant called Restaurant L'impossible which had excellent food as well. The B&B is located about a 10 minute walk away from the center of town, and about a 1 minute walk from a bus stop that brings you to the center of town. One day, we were planning to take a bus to the next mountain for a hike, and Al kindly brought us on his van. This saved us quite a bit of time that day.

Overall, we had a very pleasant stay, and would recommend Chalet Blanche to all travelers visiting Chamonix.

Our 8th visit with Al and Debbie. English hosts with excellent local knowledge to make our holiday special. Always a great mix of guests and this time we had our evening meal prepared for us at the Chalet by a visiting chef - lovely food and great value. As always chilled wine in the hot tub looking over Europes tallest mountain is hard to beat.

A group of four of us from the Yorkshire Mountaineering Club completed the Tour of Mont Blanc in early September this year.
We are very grateful to Al, Debbie and Dave at Chalet Blanche for in the first place giving us a warm welcome when we arrived, then making our stay such a comfortable one and allowing us the freedom and flexibility to make our own plans while still using Chalet Blanche as a base. We were able to leave some of our belongings at the chalet to lighten our packs a bit while out on the walk and to ensure we all had clean clothes to return to. We used Chalet Blanche then for both the start and finish of the 11 day tour and had 2 further days in and around Chamonix to unwind and relax before having to head off home.
We had a great holiday doing the TMB enjoying a ‘window’ of settled weather which allowed us to have excellent views of the magnificent scenery all the way round and Chalet Blanche was an integral part of the planning for the trip and contributed in no small measure to a successful outcome for us.

We stayed at Chalet Blanche for 4 nights while on our honeymoon in September. Our room was perfect, with an amazing view of Aiguille du Midi from our balcony. Breakfast every morning was simple, but fantastic: fresh fruit, variety of cereal, fresh bread and pastries, eggs and tea/coffee. Al and Dave(Debbie was out of town) were great hosts and helpful with any questions we might have. The lounge on the second floor is great for relaxing, meeting others and enjoying a glass of wine!
We found the location to be perfect, a short walk from the town of Chamonix. We loved our time there and hope to visit again-maybe a ski vacation next time!
