A lovely hotel, twenty minutes walk from Chamonix. Staff and owners are extremely helpful and friendly.Nothing too much trouble. Nice restaurant with superb views of the Drus and Aiguille du Midi, we ate there most nights, much better than some of the restaurants in Chamonix. Some beautiful valley walks right from the doorstep. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Brilliant!

After years at staying in the nearby Hotel Eden, which we were told had completely gone downhill, and how right they were - see my review - we stayed in Les Lanchers for the first time this year.

The place is under English ownership but is run on french lines so you feel like you're getting a different cultural experience, which is great.

A lot of money has been invested in the hotel in the past couple of years with a new wing of very comfortable rooms , that have all mod cons, my only complaint being the typically small single beds that seem to pervade french apline resorts.

Public areas are comfortable rather than luxurious with a good value bar. Great breakfast, dinner though is honest as opposed to fine dining, but excellent value, so providing you're not expecting a gourmet experience you'll be well satisfied. Wine list also very good value.

Lovely owners and staff who really looked after us.

Other points: great location out of town in Les Praz, which is the most exclusive part of Chamonix but very close to Flegere lift and the golf course. Great drying room for wet golf and skiing equipement. Older rooms to the front of the hotel to be fully refurbished in the next 12 months. Great value for money.

We have already booked for next year, which says it all !

Room Tip: Some of the rooms in the new wing have sunny terraces, with stunning views of the Aiguille Drus and...

We absolutely loved our stay here! The innkeeper was so friendly and helpful and went out of his way to make sure we enjoyed our stay.

The room was simple but cute and well thought out. The was a small balcony to bring in the crisp mountain air.

While it is a short way from Chamonix, it was worth it. You can walk a beautiful path along the river to get there, or take a very short (and free) bus or train to Chamonix.

The nice thing is that at the end of the day, you come back to the quiet and quaint town of Le Praz to wind down, and the hotel's restaurant is absolutely wonderful. Sit out front and enjoy the view of Mont Blanc while enjoying wine and great food!

Will stay here any time we have the fortune of returning!

This is my second review of Les Lanchers having stayed many time before. Not sure why there have been a few bad reviews because Celine and Jon are great hosts and all the staff are friendly. Location is great, with stunning view of Mont Blanc when eating breakfast. There has also been signficiant investment in the hotel. Highly recommended.

We had a lovely 3-day stay at this hotel and can highly recommend it! Everything from booking and arrival to check out and departure went smoothly and the staff are so helpful and friendly. The rooms are very clean, comfortable and nicely furnished. Our´s was very roomy and we were very pleased with it. The food in the restaurant is great and the breakfast was also very good - plenty of food to keep you going for the day. The staff´s attitude made the stay even better, so helpful and genuinely friendly and caring. They made an effort to make you feel at home and they helped out with any questions or requests. A perfect hotel for a stay in Chamonix. Good location as well, just a nice walk along the river into Chamonix centre.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 17, which was spacious and quiet.

Beautiful view of Mont Blanc from out window. Helpful staff and good food. It's a 20 minute walk to downtowm Chamonix or you can take the bus outside the hotel. I recommend the walk because it's along the river. There is a store across the street that opens at 6:00 am which is good for me because I like to buy an international newspaper with my coffee. Would stay again.

Room Tip: Choose a room that gives you a view of Mont Blanc.
