“Luxury chalet and fantastic hot tub.”
Reviewed 1 April 2014 for a stay in January 2014

I stayed with a group of friends and really loved the chalet.
It is really high end finish with a great hot tub and fantastic kitchen facilities, we hire a professional chef to cook dinner a few nights who was impressed with the standard of the kitchen. The walk into the centre is about 15-20 mins, which is not so bad but with a group best bet is hire yourselves a chef like the guys at http://saveursdumontblanc.com/ as the food is better than most restaurants and a fraction of the price.
Owner is a nice guy who looked after us really well, let me use him as a contact point for getting ski passes dropped off and even dropped us to the ski buses each day.
Overall I would definitely stay here again and was highly impressed with all aspects of the accommodation, facilities and the standard of service offered by Michael the owner.

Liked best: Hot tub, wifi, high standard finish, kitchen facilities.
Liked least: Only possible issue would be the 20 mins walk to centre of chamonix but if you are ski / snowboard that's not exactly a marathon :)

“Spacious, functional chalet with fun extras”
Reviewed 14 March 2014 for a stay in March 2014

We stayed in Chalet Cosmique for a week earlier this month. Arriving early into resort, the owner, Michael, kindly allowed us to drop our bags off and then gave us a lift into town.
The chalet itself is perfect for a large group. The kitchen diner is spacious and made self catering a breeze. All rooms were clean. The ski room and boot heaters were ideal for drying out our gear each evening and the hot tub was a favourite of many. The games room was great - we've stayed in chalets before but never any with a games room facility.
Michael was so helpful throughout our stay - just a phonecall away and even came to the rescue when AlpyBus didn't bother turning up for our airport transfer.
Great value for money!

My eleven friends and I really enjoyed the clean and spacious Chalet on my second trip to the Chamonix Valley. There is a grocer, bakery and pharmacy just around the corner for your daily reqs and the owner happily brought us to a supermarket early on our week for us to stock up. The big kitchen was well stocked with sundries like spices and has catering style equipment, it was fun to have teams of 2 or 3 in friendly competition as to who could make the best meal for the group.

Having transport is a great advantage in the Chamonix, if you havent been it has several distinct unconnected areas rising up from the valley, the owner and his driver cheerfully shuttled us to a different area every day. Covering just the discounted toll through Mont Blancs tunnel we even had a day in Courmayer in Italy.

The nightlife is a 15-20 minute straight forward walk into town which if I had to choose I would rather stumble to and from booze rather than lug my kit around to the lifts, so singular disadvantage was outweighed by the Chalet itself and the friendly luxury of having a transport right to the various lifts.

We went with a group of ten friends, and had an amazing time. Michael and Mitch are brilliant hosts - friendly and knowledgeable, and a really good laugh, too.

The chalet itself is excellent. The hot tub is brilliant after a long day of skiing, and having a wee bar area downstairs is a great idea, as is the pool table. Everything was really comfy, and the only downside was that we hadn't booked it for two weeks!

Good value as well, as the nearby shops are much cheaper than central Chamonix, and the locals are dead friendly. I was a bit apprehensive about not being right in the centre of town, but it actually worked out really well.

Can't recommend it enough.

“Stunning Chalet with great hosts”

Thought this deserved a review on Trip advisor. The chalet was just as pictured. We took a group of 11 and had a stonking time.

The Chalet is not in the centre of town but with the ski areas so far apart from each other that does't present much of a disadvantage. We walked two and from the centre of town and it took about 15-20 minutes, you wouldn't want to do it in ski boots but then you wouldn't need to with the private ski shuttles included by the owner (not to mention transfer from the airport).

We stayed self catered so can't comment on the food which can be provided as an option.

This was my first time in Chamonix and if your a competent ski/snowboarder and haven't been yet I would recommend you come here and stay in this chalet.

“Amazing Chalet and Fantastic Hospitality - would definitly stay again”
Reviewed 14 February 2011 for a stay in February 2011

We stayed as a group of 8 (4 adults and 4 teenagers) for one week in February.

Chalet Cosmique is a beautiful place to stay, the whole chalet is fresh and new. Lots of attention to detail, including a full British Sky tv package, x box (with numerous games), DVDs, board games, art materials and a whole games room including pool table, table football, a bar and music system. The rooms were well furnished, beds comfortable and bathrooms a high standard. There are no baths in the chalet, but the outdoor hot tub means this is not a problem. The games room/bar would be ideal for a group of adults getting together. The local shops are just 2 minutes walk away, and the main town is about a 15 min walk where there is a wide selection of restaurants, bars, shops and interesting sights. The town itself is very pretty, and the backdrop of mountains from every view point is breathtaking. Would recommend the train ride up to the Mer De Glace (Moving Glacier) and ice caves.

Michael, the owner, is a fantastic host who doesn't do himself justice when advertising the chalet. From the free transfers to/from the airport and the daily runs to/from any slopes you wanted to try, nothing was too much trouble. Michael was a good source of information on the local area, even booking us a table for an evening meal to help with the language barrier and transporting us to the local supermarket for the weekly shop. His friendly manner was spot on, and the service he offered was above and beyond any we have experienced before.

The high standard of the chalet, and the service offered by Michael would definitly make us book again. There is so much to say, but you really have to experience it yourself.
