“What an Experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 April 2014 via mobile

We went up the telepherique which is about 50€ per person. You can go all the way to the top at 3,800 mts. Wonderful view of the surrounding mountains, including the Mont Blanc. To go down skiing you must hire a local guide. In order to get down to the skiing area you must first go down a narrow passage of about 100 yards carrying your skis and tied up to your guide and companions. Lots of adrenaline but very safe. Skiing down to the train will take you about 2 hrs. Slopes are ok for intermediate skiers.

“Great views”

Lovely to spend a few hours if you can't ski... Spectacular views of the Mont Blanc, but dress well, it gets very cold up there.

“Wonderful Views!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 April 2014

This is an experience not to be missed! Just going up is an experience in itself, especially the second part as its quite steep!! The views from the top are breathtaking as you can see for miles around. It is so beautiful.

Things to consider: It's quite windy up there, especially on the bridge and it's cold too. I think it was -6 C (the wind made it feel much colder!) but around 20 C in Chamonix so don't be fooled by the warm weather in the valley and wrap up! When the cold gets too much there is a cafe (on the pricey side) and restaurant (never visited), as well as a small gift shop.

This isn't cheap....around 55 euros per person and you'll need to pay extra if you want to take the lift to the observatory (we didn't). But in my opinion. it was worth it.

“You must go!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 April 2014

Although pricey for a non skier (it is free if you are a skier and have the unlimited pass) it is soooooooooooooo worth it. The glass cube was a total surprise and just amazing!
