Very nice relatively new hotel close to the center of Chamonix. Minimalist (but largely good) design, fair-sized rooms (we had a junior suite). Rooms are well cleaned and maintained, everything works as it should. Free good wi-fi (lately it became a rarity in good hotels in Europe).

Hotel is short walk away from the bus station Chamonix Sud and from Aiguille du Midi lift (it's not a ski lift, unless you're going into Vallee Blanche). Sister hotel is much closer to the station though, and looks just as nice. Free outside parking, garage costs extra money. If you have a car avoid the buses and drive to ski lifts -- parking there is abundant and costs 1 euro a day only. Beats walking to the bus stop in ski boots. Ski room is great with individual lockers and clever drying system for boots/gloves.

Service is excellent, period. I very seldom encounter a hotel where everyone, including the cleaners, are smiling all the time and look like they enjoy doing their work. Ask the reception where to go skiing on any given day -- they'll gladly share the local knowledge, and in Chamonix it often makes the difference between a great day skiing and a miserable one.

Obligatory not-so-nice bits: all the lightigng in guest rooms is with awful "energy saving" lamps. Humans resemble ghosts, ladies cannot apply makeup, reading is near impossible, blue socks look exactly like brown socks. Bring a torch. Hot water pressure is variable, but looks like in Chamonix this problem isn't excusive to hotel le Morgane. Swimming pool is really tiny -- about 3 by 3 m.

But overall, it's a great hotel and a great experience. On this trip our friends stayed elsewhere, paid a lot more, got a lot less and were quite jealous.

Never written a review about anything before but felt that on this occasion the hotel was so good I just had too.

Staff- Brilliant very helpful couldn't do enough.
Location - Central Chamonix, ideal for bars and restaurants, not to far from the slopes.
Rooms - Very clean and tidy and an OK size.

We were 8 Guys on a skiing trip and not one complaint from anyone about the hotel. I can't wait for next year as it looks like we will be going back.

Probably the best hotel in Chamonix. Design, modern, clean, excellent staff, very good location in the centre of town!
Rooms minimalistic and clean. Had booked a standard room but were upgraded to a superior upon arrival. Superior room was good size, standard might have been a bit too small for 2 adults with ski gear etc.
Staff were very courteous and friendly and eager to help.
Breakfast selection good, dinner at le bistro was EXCELLENT! worth the michelin star!
Spa was very quiet, had an amazing Deep Relaxation Massage, ask for Stephanie! Indoor swimming pool, small but very clean, same with sauna and steam room.
Location very central, however it was a bit of an uphill walk to the central bus station where you get the buses to the slopes. It's better to walk to Chamonix Sud instead, its closer and not as many people waiting at the bus stop! Ask reception for directions.
All in all, an excellent hotel, i dont think you will find many hotels like this one at any ski resort in the Alps!

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotes in late January and really enjoyed it. It was centrally located near shops, bars, and food. Our room was small, but comfortable. The staff was very friendly and spoke both English and French. They gave us reccomendations for dinner and places to see. I would recommend this as a place to stay. The only bad thing is that it was a little bit of a walk to the bus stop if you are carrying your skis. There is another Best Western affiliated hotel that is literally NEXT TO the bus stop. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

We arrived in Chamonix at 2.10 pm and at first it struck me as odd that the room was not ready. I was later informed that check in is at 3.00 which is kind of late and on a Monday morning with not so many people in the hotel. However the room was very clean, small as everywere in France, with all the basic commodities plus free wifi but it was very cold at night and the heater wouldn't go up no matter what. As we stayed there only for one night we didn't really mind and the staff were very kind and helpfull so that balanced the situation. Breakfast was very good and the location of the hotel is excellent.

My husband & I just returned from a 2-night stay in a Luxe Double Room. We have no complaints & found the hotel to be a practical place to stay, if not particularly special. Our room was quite basic - especially relative to the price we paid - but the service was good & the common areas pleasant. The free carpark is also a definite plus, & it's easy to walk around town from the hotel. I would recommend this as a reliable, centrally located place to stay.

Our room had a small balcony with table & chairs, which was a nice place to sit during the sunny morning hours, though it did overlook the rather unlovely carpark & several other buildings (beyond which there was a stunning view of the Montblanc range). It wasn't laid out very well & so felt smaller than it was; the bathroom was also very small, with a large shower cubicle but no tub. However, it was comfortable enough.

The service overall was friendly & very good, from the bellmen to the after-hours receptionist (the door is locked at a certain hour). Our lunch at the restaurant was excellent & reasonably priced; it has a michelin star, though the staff seem quite modest about this.

... just a great comfortable room and friendly, obliging staff.

Had a wonderful (though short) stay of 2 nights at Le Morgane in May this year.

Staff were very friendly and welcoming with lots of personal touches that you don't usually get in a hotel this size.

After catching the night train from Paris we arrived early (around 10.30am) feeling grotty and tired so we were very grateful that the staff were happy to let us check in early. Lady on reception was very nice, escorted us to our room and then popped back soon after with some chocolates.

Room itself was great, modern, clean and comfy with a great view to the Aguille du Midi cable car station and of course the mountain itself. Location was nice and central - very easy and quick to walk to the Aguille du Midi station, the SNCF train station, train to Mer de Glace and the shopping / eating areas in town.

Didn't hear a peep from the nearby disco that has given other posters grief. It may have been closed (this was late spring), but whatever the reason we didn't hear anything and we sure didn't have any trouble sleeping!

Loved Chamonix and loved this hotel.
