“A really good choice”
Reviewed 4 April 2013

The staff are friendly and service-minded. The room is as you can expect from a 3-star, clean convenient but no luxuary. The view over the river L'Arve and the mountain was beautiful. The lounge area is cosy with a giant open fire and a small bar. Do not miss the restaurant, the food in was the real surprise, nothing standard about that, on the contrary, very good, on the border to fine dining. And really price-worthy, 26 EUR for a three-course dinner if you stay in the hotel. The location was also very good, very close to the city center and the ski buses. If we return to Chamonix, this hotel will be definitely be considered again

The location is good. Quality of the property is a bit below where price and quality intersect. The service was good and the common areas were ok; breakfast was on par or above. The area where the property falls down is in the bedrooms. I have some experience with Chamonix and appreciate that it is quite a world apart in terms of value nevertheless I think this property has a bit of work to do.

Pleasant hotel near centre of Chamonix, booked for one of the races in the UTMB series of ultra-marathons. I had a decent room overlooking the river and looking towards the Mont Blance range, other rooms higher up have balconies and much better views (I presume at a higher price). Attractive wood panelling to reflect mountains and ski chalets. Rooms of reasonable size and decent en-suite shower room. The hotel provides good breakfasts and I was very impressed when they agreed to provide breakfast 90 minutes early at 0530 on the day of my race, done happily and with no extra charge. Free wifi was weak and intermittent. Overall, a friendly and helpful comfortable hotel. Would happily return here.

Well located within walking distance of the Brevent lifts, this modern clean, well managed hotel is a perfect base. Four of us (old friends) met up having travelled from North of England, Zurich and London and we hired a car from Geneva to get us to Cham and travel to the different Ski areas whilst we were there. The hotel car park is ideal and its location makes it easy to get in and out of Chamonix town by road. Also within very easy walking distance of the restaurants, bars etc for the evening. The staff were very pleasant and helpful and on the last day we were able to leave our luggage in the baggage room, ski all morning then go to the sauna room for a shower and change ready for our drive home! Breakfast was ideal - served from 7am - cereal, fruit, yoghurt, selection of breads and pastries, eggs, ham cheese jam etc. The coffee is great too.

Room Tip: Some rooms have baths - we opted for a superior room which had a bath (great for aching limbs!) whic...

We stayed in January 2013, 2 adults and 2 teenagers. Kids decided not to share a room, so 1 slept on the sofa bed in the loungeroom. All beds very comfortable, kitchen very well appointed and clean. We were probably the first to stay in the room, so the fact that the stove was turned off was only understandable, and the staff fixed the problem instantly. The boot warmers were a highlight, and the ski lockers downstairs very handy. The separate toilet made up for sharing a single bathroom with 2 needy teenagers, and the living area was easily big enough to cope with four big people and our stuff. Storage in the living room, kitchen and wardrobes was excellent. The verandah was an added bonus not really utilised in winter, but I would not hesitate to recommend this apartment in winter or summer. Entertainment included TV, DVD, broadband if you wanted to stay in (why - you're in Chamonix!!). Staff very helpful and knowledgable - lift tickets and assistance with rentals available on site. All round fantastic.

Room Tip: Choose the 6 bed (2 bedrooms and the sofabed in the loungeroom) for families of 4 or more. The "...

We stayed in this hotel for two nights in June and would definitely recommend. The room was spacious, clean and cosy with a balcony and superb view. We ate out on the first night but decided to try the hotel restaurant on the second night and were glad we did. The food was delicious and the popularity of this place was testament to how good the food was. Overall this hotel was superb value and is definitely nicer than some more expensive hotels I have visited.
