We loved this hotel and its chalet atmosphere. They have complimentary tea/coffee and cake everyday from 16:00-17:30 and we enjoyed sitting and relaxing in their spacious living room/lobby. The room was a nice size, clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It is located right next to a bus stop that will take you anywhere in the Chamonix valley. It is also near the city center but not in the middle of it so there is a quiet and relaxed atmosphere.

Stayed two nights. Very clean, great breakfast, hot eggs in addition to all the French breakfast items, cheeses, cold cuts, fruits, breads, cereals, yogurt, croissant, hard boiled eggs. Kept our luggage in storage after we checked out. Very helpful and kind by keeping an ice pack for a leg injury frozen. Didn't mind getting it or returning it to freezer multiple times over 2 1/2 days. No attitudes, nice people. Parking, Wi-Fi, convenient location. Would definitely stay again.

Ideally situated in the heart of Chamonix town centre with free parking and friendly reception staff. Our room faced the car park but this didn't matter to us as low cloud meant that no-one saw the Mont Blanc for the duration of our stay.
Room was clean and a nice king size bed awaited us after being out the whole day.

I liked this place. I liked the Chalet feel.

Rooms - we had a king size bed, which we didn't always get in France. Plus, the rooms were really clean. We had a terrace overlooking the mountains. We bought wine and drank out there every day. Walls are a bit thin, so turn on a white noise maker on your phone while sleeping.

Front Desk - There was a wonderful front desk person working when we arrived and was there for most of our three night stay. She spoke excellent english and she was probably the most helpful person we encountered in France. She had only lived in Chamonix for two weeks. She made our trip to Chamonix.

Area - Good location, easy access to the town and everything you want to see. They have a neat courtyard where you can see the river run. Hint, there is a grocery store in the adjacent "mini-mall" next to the hotel (accessed through the outside courtyard). Buy some wine and cheese there for cheap and eat in the courtyard by the river overlooking the mountains.

Parking - Free....there was plenty of spaces when we were there.

This is a fantastic hotel. It is full of character yet still quite practical.

We stayed for just one night whilst driving from England to Italy. The free on-site parking was a key factor for us in choosing this hotel as well as being so handy for the Mont Blanc tunnel, so we could get through the tunnel early, before the queue built up too much.

We had a warm wlecome on arrival and all staff were friendly. The hotel bar is cosy and there are other rooms where you can sit with a drink, and there is a room with a pool table as well as an oujttdor terrace overlooking the river, with views of Mont Blanc.

The main area of restaruants is only a couple of minutes walk away.

The hotel backs onto the rivre (L'Arve) and rooms at the back overlook this, with views of Mont Blanc beyond. The river is quite noisy (more of a brook), which did not bother me, but if it could be a problem for you, you may prefer a room at the front. The rooms at the front have views of mountains on the other side of the valley, but in the foreground they overlook the car park. Personally I enjoyed waking up to a view of snow-peaked mountains, including Mont Blanc. The hotel is not overlooked at the back so you can sleep with the curtains open.

Our room was dual aspect with a balcony overlooking the river. It was quite large, with a seating area.

The layout of the hotel is a little quirky, with stair cases that don't go all the way from top to bottom, so getting to and from your room may be a little like walking through a maze, but I just thought it added to the character. This is not a purpose-built modern hotel, so decide what you want.

We intend to return here and stay for longer next time.

Room Tip: Get a room with a view of Mont Blanc.
