Down a small side street this little gem is tucked away. Myself and 3 of my buddies stayed here for a 4 night ski trip at the start of the year. Rooms were ok size, decent bathroom, beds were usual ski hotel type so very average. Hotel was nice and warm. Pretty good breakfast in the mornings. Typical small alpine hotel perfect for a week skiing in winter or hiking in summer. Nicely located a short distance from the pedestrianized section of Chamonix. Staff were very pleasant and helpful with anything we needed. Very good value considering the location and the cost of other hotels in the area....Very quite as it is off the the main street, set back in a small side alley looking out onto the river that runs through the town

We travelled in off season and were lucky enough to have a top floor mountain view room and balcony. The room was clean warm and comfortable. The mirrored wardrobe makes it look larger but is very comfortable in size. The bed was very comfortable and we had the best sleep even being on the river side. I am a light sleeper but the noise never bothered us.
The only issue was the shower head that was attached to the wall going out directly over the sink with just a shower curtain to cover your toiletries, and despite having tucked the shower curtain in the bath, the bathroom floor still gets a large puddle. However very happy with this room.

The hotel is very central and a short walk to all attractions in the area. We couldn’t have picked better, this hotel was wonderful!

The staff were very welcoming and friendly including their mascot –the beautiful St Bernard. We cannot wait to return to this hotel soon. I Wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Room Tip: Spend extra $ on Mountain View – well worth it.

Wonderful place to be while enjoying Chamonix. View of river from our large-feeling room was great. Nice people at reception: able to be helpful even though our French is poor, their English was great. The breakfast buffet was ample and yummy. Having a bar downstairs is nice, although we did not use it. The hidden gem is the grocery store in the "mall" right next door. This was great as it POURED down rain a bunch on our 2 August days there. Restaurants and Chamonix shops are all walking distance.

stayed for one night at the end of our Tour du Mont Blanc trip. The hotel is just in the center of town, close to everything. The room, staff and breakfast were all great. The price was very good too. Highly recommended.

The Hotel l'Arve is perfectly located in the centre of Chamonix, next to the river that gives it the name and with excellent views to the towering peaks of the Aguille du Midi and others. Very friendly staff, comfortable clean rooms and an excellent breakfast choice make this hotel the perfect place to stay in Chamonix. And it is within easy walking distance of the three main attractions, the train up to Montenvers and the cable cars to Le Brevent and the Aguille du Midi. I can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel !

Room Tip: Ask for a room that overlooks the river as these have the mountain views too.
