Stayed here for 3 days in July and had such a magical time. The hotel is wonderful and decorated so well with attention to detail in every corner. The rooms are very large and great value for money, the bathroom is a little dated with the old hand held shower with no stand to put it on. There is no fridge which can be an inconvenience but nothing that you can”t work out. We ended up at the hotel bar every night once we returned from town and enjoyed the lovely cocktails and breathe taking views that the hotel has to offer situated next to Mont Blanc.

The location is wonderful, the walk into the town of Argentiere is 5 minutes, the lifts to the Mont Blanc is 2 minutes and the train station to take you to town of Chamonix is also 5 minutes away. But be aware that the trains finish very early and the only other way back to the town of Argentiere is walking and it is all up mountain.

The staff are so friendly and kind, the manger Stella was lovely and even got up at 5:30am to take us to the train station in Chamonix her self so we could catch a connecting train to Lyon that morning and the trains were not running yet . Stella also organized for us to have breakfast before we left and breakfast was not being served until 7am. This kind of hospitality I have not found anywhere in the world and I would recommend this hotel to anyone that would like a personalized stay. I will be back one day.

We had a fantastic time at this hotel. It's a lovely little place in a beautiful location. The hotel is in Argentiere, a neighboring town to Chamonix. We liked it more than the hotels in Chamonix because it was so quiet and peaceful. We could walk into the town of Argentiere for dinner every night, an the hotel clerks gave us great recommendations on both restaurants and hikes. In fact, the service was superb here; everyone was so nice and friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the excellent buffet breakfast every morning. There were tons of breads, cheeses, spreads, cereals-- the works. They even had hard boiled eggs. After hiking all day, we appreciated the pool, hot tub, and sauna. Finally, we really loved the gorgeous view from our balcony of Mont Blanc. I recommend that you get a Mountain Spirit room, since these are decorated in a cute Alpine style. This hotel offers a lot for the money. I was impressed by what a good value I got for my 150 euros per night. If I ever return to this gorgeous part of France, I will definitely stay here again.

We stayed in Grands montets for 3 nights and were very pleased with the place, we're spoiled bussiness travellers as well so not that easily pleased on our holiday trips . Booked two rooms both with Mont Blanc view at the back of the hotel. One room was "superior" and had a very large and pleasant balcony and grassy area. The other was a two level suite. The last room had some logistical challenges as the shower was downstairs, and the bedroom upstairs, with jacuzzi and sink/mirror etc. It is not a very large suite, and the balcony will barely seat 2 adults, but we didn't use it much, because the hotel has a very pleasant and large garden/ terasse with lovely deckchairs and free Wifi down there so that's the place to be for your after dinner coffee and drinks. Also when relaxing after mounatin hikes because the pool/jacuzzi area also leads onto the same garden. A very pleasant set-up.
Breakfast was sufficient but not elaborate. We had one dinner: the BBQ on 14 th of July probably not the best example of the kitchens' abilities. One of our girls forgot her swimsuit, and it was waiting in the mailbox when we got home: a good example of the very friendly and efficient service.
Overall: we would definitely stay here again if in the area.

We chose the Hotel based on the good reviews and we were not deceived. The setting is very niCe. Great Spa area with fantastic outdoor jacuzzi. Staff very Nice and child friendly. We took half board- Hotel offers this option in summer- and the food was lovely. The room was a bit smallish but..it is France!and it was nicely decorated. Breakfast is delicious with home made jams and plenty of choice. We will return!
