We had read previous reviews and agreed entirely with comments that hotel appears a little shabby but the staff make up for it entirely. Meals were all lovely except for one or two slight exceptions. We arrived late for dinner the other day due to a dodgy walk down from plan de l'aguile ( don't do it unless you like clambouring over fallen trees on a 6 hour hefty hike downhill) and Matt the barmen came out to meet us, saw our utter exhaustion and served us all 4 courses of dinner to our room, he was a saviour. Alot of resort appears shut including several cable cars and warning of this would have been nice. Hotel was exceptional though. Well done to manager Helen and fantastic team..especially Matt. Room was always cleaned well but special mention to Katy who always did the lovely touches with folding and arranging things just so. Bingo night was hilarious. Lovely trips and excursions arranged by Joy, resort manager, who did sterling job. Lovely holiday.
