We stayed here for three days in early October and on arrival were pleased to find that they had upgraded us to a one bedroom apartment. The views of the mountains from our large balcony were lovely and the accommodation provided everything we needed including a small but perfectly functional kitchen. The staff on reception were friendly and helpful, offering useful advice on where to go and what to see during our short stay. This is rated as four star accommodation and the standard of the décor was good; some of the furniture was looking a little tired but wood can dent easily and we saw this as being part of the hotel's overall Alpine charm. The swimming pool was a bonus. We'd definitely go there again.

My husband & I stayed here for 3 nights.....the location would have to be the best as far as the views go.....we looked directly out over the town & the Mont Blanc!....we enjoyed watching the para gliders landing yesterday on the field below us!....we didn't have a car, but found it an easy walk into the town...about 5 minutes!....the apartment was adequate...bed firm but comfortable...pillows lumpy, need updating!....kitchen utensils & cookware adequate....we enjoyed being able to cook our meals....coffee maker should be supplied with filters...asked for a few from reception...I think a few little things could be improved on....ie; enough supplies such as toilet rolls, tissues, coffee, tea, sugar would be appreciated...we had to buy everything.....we are used to staying at places where these little things are supplied......the young man on reception helpful...printed out tickets for us....staff spoke English too, which is a help....actually we found most people in the shops spoke good English as well....Our French is limited, so it was lovely to be understood, & were very accommodating!......would stay here again.....

Room Tip: Ask for coffee filters.....extra pillows in lounge cupboards!....had to hunt!....ask for balcony fac...

While the location, and views are great, there are some drawbacks to this condo resort.

Walls are very thin, we could here the couple next to us talking. Also a little strange, the hotel is less than a quarter full, and they put three rooms ride beside each other

Be prepared to pay for the use of pool towels and bath robes (not a big thing, but most places just include this in the price). You have to do your own inventory when you arrive, including number of lamps. I have never had to do this before, and we usually rent condos for our longer stays.

While it is nice, and the views of the mountain are great, I would probably stay elsewhere next visit.

The hotel feels like a residential condo that is also working as a hotel. The location is only 5 to 10 minutes walk from town. The view of Mont Blanc is just amazing. Check in was a little difficult. There were only one receptionist, and the customer before me was having her calling someone to take care of some problems of the customer's reservation for some tours or activity. I had to sit and waited to check in for more than 30 minutes. When I went back to drop off my request for breakfast, again someone was there before me asking about restaurants. I was just going to drop off the breakfast request, but was asked to wait in case the receptionist wanted to confirm the request. It took quite a while for the receptionist to finally finish talking to the customers inquiring about dinner places. Breakfast came as expected. We were told to place the tray outside the room when done, but it wasn't picked up until at least after 10pm. It seems a little long. May be the hotel was short staffed, but I can't complaint since the cost of the room really is of great value. The staff has always been extremely friendly though.

Fantastic apart hotel - comfy, welcoming, the 1 bed apartment we had worked very well for us as a family of 4. The views from the balcony over the Mont Blanc Massif were just stunning and watching all the paragliders arrive on the meadow below kept our 2 boys most entertained! The games room, swimming pool were both great although as has been mentioned before, the pool was cold, my kids were shivering badly after 5 minutes! Apparently it has to be kept cold for health and safety - it's a minor niggle though. The apartment was well equipped and very comfy.

Room Tip: Make sure you ask for a view of Mont Blanc.

After 7 days of traveling around Northern Italy's Lake District it was great to check in to the Les Balcons. We were greeted at the front desk by a warm welcome. I had booked us into a studio and was pleasantly informed of being upgraded to a one bedroom apartment. We got our room key, parked our car in the underground parking garage (free of charge), saw the elevator, unloaded out luggage onto the luggage carrier provided, went directly to the 7th floor to a fabulous apartment. A large double balcony with glass doors providing a view of Mount Blanc, a large living room with a comfy sofa, dining table, flat screen TV, a compact kitchen with everything you could possibly need, large bathroom and a large bedroom with the same sliding glass doors out to the balcony. We loved our stay so much that we decided to extend it. Walking into the village of Chamonix was 5 minutes either on the sidewalk or across the grassy open field where the Para gliders land. Indoor pool looked fine but we didn't use it. I guess in the winter it would be great after a long day on the slopes.
