Charming, modern boutique hotel under the shadow of the Alps. The hostesses were very friendly and willing to help and provide suggestions. They directed me to a wonderful restaurant and helped me figure out which was the best way to see the Alps without skiing. They were also understanding when I wasn't able to arrive on the day of my first reservation due to the train strike, didn't charge me for that night, and switched my reservation by a night.

We stayed at Hotel Le Faucigny for 3 nights just before the peak season starts. It was remarkable. Hotel staffs were friendly and helpful. Room wasn't quite spacious yet the interior was exactly what I like, simple and cozy and clean. Common area and spa made all drawbacks up, especially the complimentary afternoon tea. The free afternoon tea wasn't something fancy but definitely pleasant, especially in cold.
One thing should be taken into serious account is the location. It was situated right at the center of Chamonix. We didn't drive so it was a matter to us. Stone throw distance to supermarket, shops and restaurants.
Definitely staying again if we return!

Relaxing.
Le Faucigny Hotel has been revamp few years ago. Very intelligent, simple, elegant organisation of the space. Very warmy welcomy family dedicated staff.
No lodge bar and buddha musics, no room mini bar, no restaurants. It is simply an hotel, an old school intime hotel to relax; with good beddings and people listening to your needs.
They kindly reorganize their christmas tree to please my 4 years old.
Breakfast are fantastic. Simple and efficace.
Cannot find a better location in Chamonix.

Another long forgotten review of a very pleasant stay.
We stayed here in March 2012 (dont ask me why it took me so long to write this).
Booked through the hotels's site and I have to admit that it was not our first choice in accomodation. We have tried another top-rated hotel in Chamonix but due to the short notice and the ongoing ski season that hotel was fully booked and this is how we got here. Absolutely no regrets and quite a nice surprise.
We arrived one late afternoon by car and we couldn't find our way so we called the front desk and got quick and specific instructions and 3min later we were in the hotel's parking (here if you find a parking spot I would recommend to keep it as there is no need to drive around the valley - public transportation is very efficient). The hotel is of course located very close to the centreville but its placed just right - slightly off the beaten track so the guests could enjoy a bit more quiet than you would find on and around the main streets.
The lobby and the interior design is modern and we kept finding thoughtfull lovely little details throughout our 3 night stay.
Our room was quite small but it was a superior room with a balcony facing the entrance and had a side-view of the Aguille du Midi. Excellent for a booking made one week in advance. The room was very well equipped but i struggled a bit with the tight space around.
Very clean throughout, it gave the impression that people there are very proud of this little boutique hotel and everyone seems to give their all with apparent ease into whatever task is before them. While not many of them are visible the service is very good and fast. Particularly Marie from the front desk who helped us everyday with whatever we needed, and who quietly and politely caters for the guests' needs pretty much everywhere.
The breakfast was great, large variety and top quality products in a very trendy and hospitable setting make for this petit dejuner a proper start of the day, one that you will indulge into longer then you may have planned.
The hotel also has below the ground floor a jacuzzi and sauna beautifully decorated and fitted. Beware of the german tourists behaving germanish in the mixed facilities :)
Although its been a while since this stay we still remember fondly Le Faucigny and our experience there is tied to the Chamonix valley for it was our first time there.

Room Tip: one with balcony...mountain view

The staffs are really nice and friendly. The complimentary afternoon tea is good too. We really enjoy our stay in this hotel. The only thing is that there is no elevator, so its kinda laborious to move our luggages upstairs.

We spent 4 nights at the Faucigny and enjoyed every minute. We had the very private room downstairs from the lobby. While somewhat small, it was quiet, newly remodeled and had a huge bath tub in the bath room, big enough for both of us at the same time! Great for soaking sore muscles or warming up after being on the glacier! The location is excellent, in the center of town with easy access to restaurants and comfortable walking distance from all the lifts. The staff is friendly, helpful and speaks very good English. There are bicycles available for riding around the town, and a small terrace in front with tables and a great view of Mont Blanc. There is afternoon "tea" with both tea and coffee as well as small cakes and cookies, each afternoon. Breakfast is at an extra charge but is ample with hot eggs, cereal and bacon as well as the usual pastries and toast. It is a reasonable value and the best idea if you want to get out early. The few restaurants serving a full breakfast generally do not open until around 10. The exception is Elevation, not far from the train station. In sum, this is a great smaller hotel with lots to offer.
