We only stopped for a drink!! And we ended up several drinks and having dinner there.
2 of us had the 3 course meal and we had the local dish called tartflette(I think!1 it's made up of cheese, onions and potatoes in a sauce),it was very yummy. Followed by a crème Brule(to die for!!) It was cheaper to have 3 courses than to have just the main dish!!

We went back the next evening and it was shut for 2 days!! We were disappointed!!

So nice to go somewhere with a range of dishes to choose from. We found this was lacking in other venues. A lovely location and the food delicious. Would definitely recommend. Such a shame it wasn't that busy.

Away from the more centrally located restaurants this place provides good hearty food and efficient service. Not speaking any French we were concerned about how we would order but staff were very helpful. Food was good quality but not outstanding (very nice but not in the category of "fantastic"). Good selection of wines

Food was divine, service was good, atmosphere was warm and inviting. If I was ever lucky enough to be in Chamonix again, I would revisit La Morine.

After a few pleasant evenings of après ski drinks in the cosy bar, with very friendly staff and a big soppy dog called Whymper (named after a famous English Victorian mountaineer, who is buried in chamonix!)we decided to try out the restaurant. What a treat! Two of us ordered the steak (cooked rare to perfection) and one had the pork cheeks with an amazing polenta and prune cake which she said was absolutely delicious. On the recommendation of a previous review we ordered the 2008 Bordeaux which was lovely - thank you to whoever posted that! Service was impeccable, warm and friendly and there was a lovely atmosphere. Price? Very very reasonable! We will definitely be back next year!
