“Fantastic!!!!”
Reviewed 31 December 2013

This hotel opened just 2 weeks ago and as a family of 4, we could not have been happier since when we checked in 10 days ago. The rooms are beautiful, the staff very friendly and knowledgable and the spa is 5 star! The spa has such variety - sauna, steam rooms, pool, igloo, hot tub, massage etc. This is the place to stay in Chamonix. The location could not be better. The style of the hotel is contemporary and it is finished to a very high standard.

Reviewed 28 December 2013

We spent one week Christmas and ski holidays in the hotel. It is a brand new hotel, which was opened on 16th December 2013. You can even smell the novelty of the hotel. Everything is brand new and the hotel itself is very modern, spacious and designed in a very consequence and interesting style (as the orange is an important colour in the hotel, even napkins and some chairs are in orange). Of course there are some funny moments taking into account the fact that the staff is learning how to take care of guests, but it is not at all irritating but rather amusing – such as forgetting about the guests during dinner to take orders).
The location of the hotel is very convenient for both skiers and drivers as well as walkers – the hotel is located next to the Rue Blanche – a road that connects Chamonix with highways to Switzerland and France as well as with the Mount Blanc Tunnel. But it does not mean that there is a noise inside the rooms which overview the road. The Aguille cable car is just in front of the hotel. There is a bus stop in front of the hotel that takes you to the Chamonix ski areas (Brevent) and also to Flegere, Argentiere and others ski areas. The city center is within walking distance – 3 minutes from the hotel. The indoor parking place is available at the additional price 10 euro per day.
We were in a standard room which is spacious, has a corner with sofa and balcony and full of space to put clothing. Bed is big (queen) and comfortable. The bathroom itself is not very spacious, but still not too small. In the bathroom there are Nuxe cosmetics, which are really of very good quality. The spa is also equipped with these cosmetics. The room itself is quiet and you don’t hear anything from neighbouring rooms.
Breakfast buffet is generous and enough to start the day (the only thing I missed were vegetables – tomatoes, cucumbers and green salads and good coffee from machine maker – instead you have normal coffee prepared in thermoses - but for sure it may be improved as the hotel is at the very beginning of gaining experience). The dinner is really very tasty. The cuisine with the hotel’s master chef represents the highest possible level of gastronomy. The quality of food together with the way of serving is impressive. The dinner is always a’la carte without any buffet – for HP there is a starter, main dish and dessert. Portions are not very big but enough not to feel hungry after all. Maybe it would be better to have a salad buffet or at least the cheese corner, as it is quite often the standard in other hotels.
The spa is very spacious and modern – the indoor swimming pool is really big and deep as for hotels swimming pools standards. Additionally there is a hammam, finnish sauna, tepidarium, ice grotte, Jacuzzi and very nice relaxing place with tea set, hanging rattan chairs and biofuel fire place.
We were in a busy period and as usual I’ve checked a lot of offers in order to choose the best solution, also while comparing price to quality. France itself is quite expensive when comparing Italian or Austrian resorts. Taking into account other offers in Chamonix as regards 4-stars hotels with generous spa area (which is always very important to me while going for skiing, as it is part of my relaxing time after skiing), I would definitely recommend this hotel. Of course, the hotel is not very cheap, but the price is reasonable when taking into account the quality of the hotel and the peak period of my stay. I travel on a regular basis and so far has visited many resorts in Alps (mainly in France and in Austria) and in my opinion this hotel is worth taking into consideration while choosing Chamonix as a destination point. Of course this hotel is quite different from family run hotels in Austria (or in Italy), but it’s normal for France. It’s more modern, less Alps’ style, but it is not a drawback, but rather in my opinion the characteristic of French design.
The staff is very polite, helpful and reacts immediately for any remark made. Especially Sebastian at the reception desk is worth mentioning.

Room Tip: Avoid rooms at the attic
