It's a warm and comfortable place outside chamonix. The hotel is very quiet. Staff is friendly and helpful. The beds are of good quality. Sauna and steambath is little but working well. Breakfast is a good standard. You have to pay EUR 15.-- p.P. extra for the breakfast. Parking is free. We didn't make a reservation and were happy to get the last room. Because of other groups in the hotel, we couldn't have a table for dinner in the hotel. If you are an individual guest, you feel a little on the second priority. This is the minus.

could be small charming hotel ideally located for exception skiers. devoted staff not always very professional. excellent restaurant though. they sold a 160 bed and we got 2x80. had to 5x to get it changed. tiny sauna but with view on the garden. 2 jacuzzies and 1 indoor pool. plenty of small salons. nice cheminée. beware of terrible sewers smell for which they "can't do anything" as it is because it is melting or because it is windy or because it is freezing, depending on whom you ask. poorly isulated - just hope you dont get a wicking outing at the bar!

This was a nice chalet style place about 8 km out of Chamonix in the mountains. We had two rooms with a couple and child in each room accomodated comfortably with balcony overlooking the pool. We enjoyed our short stay, but it is really noisy due to thin, wooden walls and bells on the keyrings. Other than that, service in the bar was great, and breakfast excellent. Would go back.

Tucked away at the top of the village, the hotel doesn't look much from the road but is quite large and beautifully designed, especially the communal areas which somehow offer comfort, informality and privacy all at the same time. Decor is playfully nostalgic with casual touches and the huge timber framed windows provide compelling views during snowfalls.
The facilities are good (sauna, hot tub, steam room, pool)and the rooms are well equipped. The service is excellent, friendly and helpful (if slightly over-attentive in the restaurant).
They clearly put a lot of effort into the dining and the restaurant attracts some non-residents. We thought that the demi-pension menu was quite imaginative and the ingredients were fresh but some of the dishes worked and some didn't, and the menu didn't quite hold together. So probably better to go a la carte. The wine list is solid (but pricey).
You will require your own transport to take full advantage of the wonders of the Chamonix valley, although the hotel are happy to take you down to the slopes in the morning. Les Grands Montet (5-10 minutes drive) provides good skiing for intermediates (but not so good for beginners).
Overall, I would rate this hotel very highly for its design, comfort and service. The restaurant is worth a visit and I've got a feeling it will be excellent one day.
Unfortunately, like so many good things in life, this hotel is expensive. But you get what you pay for.
