pros : excellent central location next to the river, smiling staff, soundproof from inside and from outside, nice bathroom, balcony

cons: old decoration , too many pieces of furniture that reduces the size of the rooms, small bedrooms, average breakfast, poor and not free internet except for 1 hour, overpriced, charged at 60% at the booking whereas it was supposed to be 30% through booking.com , mistake of €10 on the final bill, the staff forgot to give the free transportation pass on arrival

We were lucky to get a room at the last minute when we unexpectedly came into town a day early. A bonus was getting one of the six parking spaces (two columns with three cars each --- tight fit). Our compact room overlooked the river and we even had a peek at the glacier. It is in easy walking distance of downtown. The receptionist was very friendly and spoke good English since she served as an au pair earlier in her life. There is a warm, comfortable bar/sitting area downstairs which we had to ourselves with drinks and a free basket of potato chips while we watched the television. Breakfast is extra ... no comment since we had brought our own and used the small refrigerator in the room. One hour of wi-fi is provided; there is a charge after that.

Room Tip: Some rooms on the back have a balcony. Back rooms face the river and the mountains.

The staff are lovely and friendly and helpful. However we arrived after a v long drive to be told that the free onsite"no need to book" parking was in fact 3 spaces already had 6 cars in it and we were directed to a free car park up the road that was full! If you have no parking be honest and say it, I booked the hotel partly because of the parking!

The rooms were clean but very small, no drawers and no space for our suitcase which sat on the floor in the way.
Breakfast was OK for a French breakfast if a little pricey.

Overall a lovely hotel but a little expensive for the size of the room.

Room Tip: River noisy in summer with windows open

We stayed there for one night in august. Nice hotel, friendly staff, Rooms are very comfortable with a touch af class. Most have a small balcony. We had a view of Mont Blanc, wich is a plus. The hotel is near the center of town, but on a quiet little street, making it very quiet. It is also by the river that runs through the town; the noise of the river covers everything else. There is a very good Italian restaurant next door (Reserve in advance if you can).
One little thing: we asked to use the hammam and when we came to pay the room, they charged us 10 euros per person; they should have told us about the fee beforehand.
Other than that, great place to stay.

Sometime an excellent hotel staff over shadows the small inconveniences such as off site parking. The staff (Eric, Jamie and frank) were always willing to bend over backwards to lend assistance. The hotel is in an excellent location on the Arve. Our room had a view of the river and Mont Blanc. Overall I felt as if we were visiting family,(the family that you actually want to see). And dog friendly in case fido comes along.

Room Tip: Ask for a balcony with a men view. Rooms on higher floors will be warmer.

Our firsr impression when we saw the room: great view on the Mont Blanc, but very small for 118 euros per night (breakfast not included). Second impressions: looked clean except for fungus in the bathroom, high room temperature, noisy outside. Though weather was fair and warm, the pool remained closed, breakfast was very basic. Overall: not bad, but too expensive for what you get.

This hotel was very fun to stay at! The room that my 2 sisters and I stayed in was quite small for three people, but it was manageable. The beds were very warm and comfy. Our room was hot so we opened the window for the night. It was so loud! We all kept waking up in the night to the people walking home. It's way better to keep it closed during the night. Other than the noise, our stay was very nice. The lady at the front desk spoke great english and was very helpful when we were trying to figure out where to go see the Tour de France. Our family loved to go in the very warm and welcoming lobby area and play games and have something to drink. Also, the breakfasts in the morning were pretty good. Overall great stay.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the river. It isn't as loud if you open the window during the warm nights.
