We were a mixed group agewise some of whom were non skiers
and found the Farmhouse perfect for our requirements. For the non skiers staff were only too pleased to drop us into Chamonix -however the bus service is frequent and close at hand so we could be independent .
The skiers/boarders loved the area and the fact that the Chamonix valley is spread out did not matter when they were taken to the area of choice each day (this included a trip through the Mont Blanc tunnel to Italy )
As for the chalet it is very spacious and very comfortable -having 2 large lounge areas is a bonus .Carrie Ann and Malcolm were excellent chalet hosts and Dave a fantastic chef .Our only complaint was that we were given too much food !
All in all a holiday to remember for all the right reasons.

I stayed in Chalet Schuss which is a real mountain retreat with
wonderful views across the valley. The food was plentiful and well received by our group of hungry snowboarders and skiers. Having a chef cook the meals is a great selling point and I don't see us going back to a chalet which doesn't offer this service now. Eleanor and Ben's hospitality was faultless and they made us all feel very welcome in what became a beautiful home from home for the duration of our stay. We were fortunate enough to have plenty of snow, although some of the less experienced members of the group found Chamonix a challenging place to ski. The chalet is situated right by the slopes, it's quite isolated and access to it is not easy; however, the spectacular views and peaceful surroundings were a welcome change from city life. I would recommend it to anyone looking for an up-market mountain getaway.

Stayed at Chalet Schuss. Fantastic view across the whole of chamonix valley. Food was great and owners around all the time to help out. Proper chalet experience with the whole good wine, food, fire cosiness. Snow wasn't brilliant but can't blame them for that. All in all would recommend.

Charming people, nothing was too much bother, Food superb own resident chef, as good as any top restaurant, great wines, very helpful chalet staff, owners always around and available, charming French village close to Chaminox to dipin and out off. Rooms overall good size, although ours was a bit small, needs chest drawers but certainly adequate
