The best part about Le Vert Hotel was the staff. Everyone we met was incredibly warm, friendly and helpful. The staff went above and beyond for my boyfriend and I from when we first arrived and through check out. When we arrived, we were on day four of our trip and our airline had lost our bags. As we were not traveling with a phone, did not speak French and preferred to enjoy skiing to staying at the hotel trying to sort out our issue with the bags, the staff volunteered to make several phone calls for us to help track down our bags. Since our ski clothing was packed in our lost bags, they also provided us with extra clothes they had at no charge to us. They also upgraded us to a room that was larger than the one we had initially booked. Finally, on our second day skiing, my boyfriend hurt his knee and the staff found him a wonderful local clinic to take him to, transporting him both there and back.

The hotel itself was warm and charming, and our room was very comfortable, with a great hot shower to welcome us. We ate dinner there both nights of our stay and could not have been happier with the food. It was truly a joy for all the senses, from the starter to dessert. The hotel also provided transportation to and from the ski resorts and also helped us to arrange for ski instruction. This hotel definitely offered great value for the price and we greatly look forward to coming back, next time for longer!

A few of us stayed there at the beginning of the season and the team at Le Vert just nailed things.
Nothing was too much for them; the food throughout was great (better than most of the stuff I've had in ski hotels), the service amazing and the intangibles, well, intangibly brilliant. To be offered a coffee by a member of staff who was not officially "on duty' just because you're there and they're having one anyway is the sort of thing that seemed to happen regularly.

They have a decent collection of skiing gear to suit all shapes, sizes and abilities and got us around the various slopes with ease. The hotel is a 10-minute walk into the centre of Chamonix and a similar distance from some of the main lifts.

They seem to have a lot of music events going on so, if that's your bag, there's another reason to be there.

We want to go back next year; that probably tells you how much we enjoyed our stay.

From arrival to departure our experience of Le Vert was nothing short of outstanding.

Rooms

Everything we needed, nothing we didn't need. The views from the skylights were spectacular to say the least. Whilst it may seem like a small thing, the Shower pressure and water temperature was absolutely amazing providing a wonderful hot shower after an exhausting day.

Staff

Simply couldn't be more welcoming, friendly and helpful going that extra mile to make you feel amongst friends.

Food

Without doubt some of the best food we have eaten in a long time. The menu de jour is incredible value and I challenge anyone to find a better three course meal in the valley.... you certainly won't find it for the same money.

Looking forward to heading back soon.

Claire was very eager to help make our stay as pleasant as possible from the moment we checked in. All of the staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was very good and reasonably priced. It is conveniently located and the rooms are comfortable. I will definitely be back.

I stayed at Le Vert for a short break with 11 other friends. The staff at Le Vert were so friendly and have cultivated a fantastic atmosphere at the hotel. It is the perfect balance of attentive but informal.

The food is excellent value and really well presented. You know that the chefs are happy as the food is clearly made with love. The rooms are clean and comfortable; ideal place to lay our heads after a day digging ourselves out of all the powder that dumped the night we arrived!

The hotel puts on a great party but also understand the need for guests to relax. Getting back from the slopes at the end of the day was a breeze too as Martin was only a phone call away and always ready to pick us up from wherever we had skied down.

All in all, thanks to everyone at Le Vert for making us feel so welcome and for really showing us what Chamonix is all about!

Just returned from a wonderful trip to Chamonix skiing. Hotel is in a good location - only a 15 min walk into the town and within easy reach of the slopes. We had a balcony room (no. 13 -would definitely recommend as we had a fantastic view of Mont Blanc to look at each morning!) They have a lovely bar and restaurant area serving mouth-wateringly good food. But it was the service that made this hotel outstanding - everyone we met from the reception and bar staff, to the guys in the equipment hire shop - were fantastic - and couldn't do enough to help make our stay really enjoyable. One of the guys in our party had an accident on the slopes and after a quick call to the hotel, they came to our rescue and whisked us off to the local hospital and stayed with us until he was discharged (also providing some much needed translation!). All in all, I can't recommend this hotel enough and will definitely be back next year for our next ski holiday.

Room Tip: Room 13 - has a balcony and a great view of Mont Blanc

We visited in a large group mid December and had a really fantastic time. I have never been skiing before but Barney and the hotel staff were really friendly and helpful with sorting our ski hire and picking/dropping us to the slopes and town.

The best thing about this hotel though is the amazing food. Each night we had three courses which included things like delicious french onion soup, chicken with bubble & squeak pattie and chocolate mousse. A good feed is what's needed after a day on the slopes!
Breakfast included croissants, cold cuts of meat, cerals and fruit.

The bar drinks are fairly reasonable (around £3 for a glass of wine and about £5 for a vodka) and we had our own party and DJ there one bnight which was great fun.

Also worth mentioning is that our rooms were cleaned daily and even our clothes were hung/tidied - like living back at your parents! It's nice to come back to the room for an afternoon nap and not find a bed piled high in ski jackets and thermals.

I would recommend taking the ski lift up mont brevent to have lunch one afternoon in La Penoramic restaurant - pricey but well worth the view.

Many thanks for a fantastic time Le Vert hotel staff - would love to come back.
