“Good food, nice service, great pizzas”
Reviewed 19 February 2014

This is a nice restaurant situated right at the bottom of Courchevel 1650, it is next to the Spar supermarket.
I like the service here, it is friendly and helpful. Menu is quiet diverse between salads, and fondue, and steaks and pizzas. Food is good.
My son is very particular about his pizza and is almost always weary of ordering one in a new place. So we got the thumbs up from him on his Margarita pizza. My husband ordredthe rump steak with pepper sauce and that was very good as well.
The only negative is the ventilation in this restaurant. It almost always have a very heavy fondue or cheese smell. Each time i go there i come back smelling awful.

Excellent restaurant and really friendly. helpful staff. We have dined here twice over the last few years. Typical prices 22Euros per main but worth it. Cheaper options available.

“Slightly different menu for a mountain resturant”
Reviewed 29 January 2014

Ate here mid week, so not particularly busy but a good atmosphere and friendly service.

Tried the herring salad which I had not seen before which was actually pretty good if you like fish and there was plenty of it.

Main course was a goat's cheese, honey and almond pizza which worked, so great if you want to try a slightly different flavour combination.

75cl bottle of house red was 17€ Ann not bad at all.

“Superb food and excellent service”
Reviewed 10 January 2014

We enjoyed 2 meals here during one week. Staff were very attentive and able to advise on choices when asked. There was a real sense of caring not just for the food but for the experience of the customer. We took two friends to our evening meal. We had eaten well at lunch so asked if we could share 2 salads amongst the four of us. The plates that arrived were still full and the quality was superb. Two of us had tartiflette for the main course and these were rich and rewarding. Once again portions were large and great if you had worked up sufficient hunger on the piste. Two of us chose new additions to the menu - a faux-filet with a pepper sauce accompanied by chips and ratatouille. We enjoyed a Crozes Hermitage bottle with the mains and this was again excellent as an accompaniment to all our choices. Dessert could only be managed by two of us so we took the recommendation of home made tarte gratin which came with delicious ice cream. Once again this was a shared dessert that easily served two.

The overall experience was very good, marred only by the background music so ubiquitous in French ski resorts .... Techno!!!!! 2 of us were musicians and found the endless, repetitive nature of this music at odds with the rest of the dining experience. We yearned for some laid back jazz piano trio - perhaps some Bill Evans. This was the only reason for withholding a fifth star.
